Better suited for regular life than a WRX or STi. Performance & comfort all in one.

car is quick with alot of low end torque. the ride is comparable to a lincoln Ls.. believe it or not. very impressed with the ride for the size of the car.a bit too much lean in the corners but still acceptable because ofe the ride, i guess they had to compromise for the ride. I feel the car is as good as any far more expensive models

Had the GT Wagon M for 1 month now...WOW! Looked at the Mazda6, Audi/Volkswagen Wagons and there is no comparison. The Subaru came in at 27K. Power is abundant through all 5 gears. 5.8 sec 0-60 times are no joke out of this rocket. Dont listen to any of the hype of the turbo lag. The GT makes 13.5lbs of boost and its quite available. Shifts are a bit long and I think Im going for the short throw shifter upgrade in time. Ride quality is superb with minimal body roll. There is no dive whatsoever under heavy breaking. The 2 kids(both under 2) ride in a cacoon of safety features.

Going on two years with our legacy GT LTD. Sweet car, super fast... when I drive our other car, I miss the acceleration. Turbo lag is slightly noticeable, but once the turbo kicks in, its smile time. Handling is great, acceleration is great, driving it in the mountains is super fun. AWD is great also, but get the snow tires if you live in an icy area... the standard tires dont handle worth anything on ice. Get the short throw shifter, also. This car is a lot of fun for a very low cost compared to the G35 and Acura RL. The gas mileage isnt too heinous, we average about 25mpg, less if youre really thrashing it.

Excellent performance. Great cornering, very stable on the road. Capable of very rapid changes in speed. Only reservations -- manual seat controls and seat structure. On a trip in excess of two hours the seats have poor to no vertical movement control. As the seats are low it is difficult to be comfortable. Worse the passenger seat base will not go back far enough to accommodate long legs. In the drivers seat, I find the left foot rest to be too high in relation to the gas pedal for long ride comfort. Passenger seat base is lower to floor than drivers seat base which affects rear passenger comfort (cannot with comfort put feet under front seat).

This 2005 Legacy GT Ltd is really a stealth rocket. Probably the most fun car to drive weve ever had. It gets the looks as there is not that many on the road out here in Wichita, Kansas. All wheel drive, 250 horsepower, turbo, leather interior, sunroof for under $30K. Is great value and of course legendary Subbie dependability. Ive got to fight my wife to drive it :)

Just got our 2005 GT Ltd. Wagon 10 days ago. I was blown away during the test drive. The engine just pulls and pulls and pulls. Besides the fantastic engine, the interior was the deal clincher for me. I always liked Subarus in the past, but the interiors have never done anything for me before. In the 2005 model, I have to say that Subaru did a fantastic job in refining everything. So far, the car feels solidly built. Doors close with a thud. No signs of rattling anywhere. Handling is great, but the ride suffers a little. Its very much a sports car ride. Lack of navigation option bugged me, because they have it in Japan and in Europe. Not a deal breaker, but it wouldve been nice.

First Subaru and boy I am impressed. In 1.5 years of ownership I have had zero problems. In combination driving average about 28 mpg. On a trip depending on how fast we drive we can get around 32 mpg. The car can be a little cramped on a log trip especially if you have more than one passenger. Rear seat room is tight. I am 6-1" and wish that there was a little more leg room for the driver. In summary, great car.

I owned a 2002 Subaru Outback and was not satisfied with its slow pick up and faulty clutch. I decided to give the GT a try and have never looked back. Its quick and handles great for a wagon. Love the 17" wheels.

This car is so fun to drive, youll find any excuse to get out of the house. I have always hated winter driving, but I have never had so much fun as I have had this last month driving in terrible winter conditions. This car is a serious machine. Get rid of the lousy stock all-seasons and youre set for high performance. I have read articles comparing it to the Acura TSX. I test drove both cars, but there was no comparison. The TSX has a nice interior, but the Legacy... smiles ear to ear every time I got out of it. FYI - on the 5 speed manual, there is zero turbo lag. Makes the even the WRX seem sluggish off the line
