Overview & Reviews
As the Impreza was redesigned just last year, not much changes for 2003. Convenience has been improved; keyless entry is now standard equipment on the 2.5 RS, TS Sport Wagon and Outback Sport. For the WRX, Subaru will offer a standard rear spoiler on the sedan (though you can still get the car without, if you want) and Sonic Yellow is available as an exclusive WRX color.
- A stout 227 horsepower in the WRX, all-wheel-drive grip, a variety of sedans and wagons to choose from.
- Often pricey when compared to its competition.

Practical and fun - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By shermaro - July 24 - 2:00 amChose the WRX over the GTI VR6 in a close call. Miss the VR6s amenities, but the WRX power and awd are decisive. Accel, braking, cornering, and shifting are all terrific. Smoothness is and quietness are better than I expected; ride is excellent except on large bumps. No defects so far except for rattle in short-shift linkage. Trunk slam is pathetic, but if Subaru had to cut something to meet price, thats a good place to cut.

subaru outback impreza 2002 - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By ferrellms - July 24 - 2:00 amNice car - got it used. Pluses - well-made, fun, good stereo, nice looks. Minuses - fuel milage, seats not comfortable, not cheap.

outback sport - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By ET - July 24 - 2:00 amI really enjoy driving this car. I do find the clutch to be a little stiff, and the turning radius is not what it should be on a car that size. Also, it gets terrible gas milage. However, I am very happy.

Lifesaver - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By darley - July 24 - 2:00 amWe bought the 2003 WRX with the insurance check from our 2002 WRX, which was totalled just 3 weeks after purchase. The four 19 and 20 year passengers (two of whom had no seatbelts fastened) all walked away from the crash with minor cuts and bruises. The driver drifted off the side of the highway at 80+ mph at a dangerous curve where the shoulder dropped off and the car turned over several times.

Nice Ride - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By Bean - April 30 - 2:00 amI traded in my beloved firebird for the WRX after a scary snow incident. The WRX has made the transition easy. The turbo gets things going quickly, the AWD handling is incredible. Its a sporty, reliable car. One you can take to the track for fun, or pack in some friends for a long road trip and still be comfortable. Very happy I purchased the WRX

Love my Rex - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By Thedog - October 21 - 10:06 amI chose my black WRX wagon over an Acura RSX-S. I am glad I did. This car is fast, handles great, drives well, and has been a reliable work horse. I only wish I had hills, curves, and snow to drive it in.

world rally xperiment - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By vishnu stage 0 - August 16 - 2:00 amthis car is awesome, i can feel like 90% cars around is SLOW. can beat any car stock! and dont forget about the beauty of AWD. great at cornering, bad weather and SNOW! its a fun car to drive. dont say you dont like it until you drive it. dare to try to turbo? and by the way, there is a morron saying that WRX eats too gasoline for such a small engine, and i would say .... "duhhh!!!! this is a turbocharged engine you dumb dumb."

poor mans sports car - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By guido1952 - August 6 - 6:46 amThis car is fun...fun...fun!!! As long as the engine rpm is kept in its powerband, youll have the feeling that it is much larger than the 2.0l that it is. My car is a 5 speed. Stomp on the pedal, and its warp speed capable! The car handles the road as if were velcroed to it. Living in Vermont, there is no shortage of twisting roads. Some of which, have more kinks in them, than a roll of cheap garden hose. Yeehah!!! I truly wish that I could drive this beast, as it was designed to be driven. If I did, Id be walkin! Speeding tickets are expensive. With a few tweaks, my mileage is hovering around 32 mpg. Thank you Subaru,

Fun driving machine... - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By payton - July 11 - 10:00 amFrom just looking at the car, you would not believe how fun it will be behind the wheel of this vehicle. The power you get from the turbo-charge engine will make you feel like a kid again, while the AWD system give you confident and comfort. What makes me more confident about the WRX wagon is that the car is 100% made in Japan and no matter whether the road is wet or sandy,I always have conditent in every corners.

A Blast to drive - 2003 Subaru Impreza
By JoeB - May 30 - 10:33 amIn a little over 2 years Ive put 45,500 trouble free miles on my WRX. I average about 25 MPG in 60/40 hwy/city driving and with a little effort, I can get 27 MPG. Not bad. My WRX has been on several 2000+ mile trips and was very comfortable. The interior could be a bit nicer, the transmission a little smoother and the exterior takes a little getting used to (I love it though!). The car is so much fun to drive, I cant wait to get into it each day. Im not sure Ill ever be able to part with it I enjoy it so much. The AWD inspires great confidence in the snowy Midwest winters and other slick conditions.
