The 2006 Scion xB receives a new steering wheel with audio controls, and the Pioneer audio system has a new head unit design and remote mini-jack port for portable music sources. Additionally, the xB wagon offers dedicated Apple iPod connectivity, which delivers iPod display information and allows unit control and recharging through the audio system. In other news, the xB's horsepower rating drops from 108 to 103 due to new SAE testing procedures.

This Car is the Greatest - 2006 Scion XB
By KATIEJ - December 5 - 3:26 pmOhh this car is great! I mean, you really cant get any better. You have the size of a car, the space of an SUV and the looks of a unique car. Its so totaly great! Buy one. Im plan on getting another one when my daughter turns 16 next month. You can also trick them out like crazy! There are so many different styles. We will have fun and im sure you will too!

I put on Momo rims, a new steering wheel, a different shifter, improved seats, everything Momo, and it looks SWEET. This makes an awesome dub car. Plus, I put a few goodies under the hood, so now it has about 224 hp. Im not trading this baby for anything

I Like It! - 2006 Scion XB
By MYNEWCAR - September 17 - 4:00 amIm a professional photographer and I do a lot of intown driving and sometimes hit the road for business as well. The Scion xB is going to be one of my better buying dicissions. Its really roomy for my equipment and my Bassett Hound. The sound system is awesome. It has a really smooth ride, too. Its so roomy to drive in. Im 50 years old and I think that its great!

MPG? - 2006 Scion XB
By firefighter184 - August 31 - 3:53 amBeware of the gas mileage in the city. We get maybe 22-24 mpg in the city, which is nowhere close to the 31 mpg that is says on the sticker. Besides that, the car is worth the less than $15,000 and it is even better with a few cosmetic upgrades.

Lowest Total Cost of Ownership - 2006 Scion XB
By Clinton - July 18 - 1:46 pmAfter doing research (we are talking spreadsheets) on hybrids and other fuel efficient vehicles, I settled on the xB. I am 63" and commute at least 80 miles a day, 5 days a week. Additionally, I truck around clients to show real estate and needed good legroom all around. Lastly gas mileage, dependability, and resale value were taken into account. This little box financially makes sense and is fun and comfortable. Doing it again, I would have gotten silver instead of black (had to try black once in my life) and an automatic transmission as I wear dress shoes to work (little pedals and Rockports dont mix), but this is no fault of the cars by any means. This vehicle is so functional it makes you question ALL other vehicles.

Small Outside, Huge Inside - 2006 Scion XB
By ANTONIO GUERRA - July 4 - 5:00 amThis car is awesome. I need a roomy, comfortable car for my business and was originally planning to buy a Lincoln to replace my aging Ford van. I test drove the Scion xB on a whim, and completely fell in love with it. I found that it has more head and leg room, front and back, than the Lincoln I took for a spin, and its a lot more fun to drive. My customers love riding in it...no matter how big they are, they have plenty of room to stretch out. I dont get very good gas mileage because of the type of driving I have to do at work and the way I drive, and Im in South Florida so my A/C is always on. I can only imagine how much more gas Id be burning if Id bought that Lincoln.

Love my xB - 2006 Scion XB
By cor337 - July 4 - 1:40 amI love my Scion xB! I was hesitant at first, but this car grew on me really fast. It has great interior room and cargo space(60/40 split). It has awesome fuel economy and a great stock Pioneer 160 watt sound system. I opted for the iPod and Sirius radio and it makes my long driving even more enjoyable! I drive this car daily and its a looker. I replaced the stock 15" hubcaps / tires with some 17" 7-spoke gunmetal rims. My xB looks and handles even better! Not to mention my 17" rims match the cool looking Thunder Clound Metallic Scion offers! I have fun driving this car everyday. All in all, it is a great and fun car!

Wanted it since it came out... - 2006 Scion XB
By EVLTSTR - June 17 - 10:13 amThis toaster is everything I wanted. It has great fuel economy, a low operating cost, a simple design, Toyota reliability, styling, features... I could go on and on. I have 2 complaints (both of which I knew going into the purchase). 1) The box has ZERO aerodynamics, therefore, it is impossible to keep all of the bugs off of your windsheild. 2) The gearing in the transmission is very short. Toyota did this to get the most acceleration out of this ice cream truck. At 80 mph in 5th gear (manual transmission), you are at 4,000 rpms. Other than that... Its great. It looks so small on the outside, yet you have so much room on the inside. Plus the aftermarket tuning comminity has taken this car and ran with it.

A Boxy Dream - 2006 Scion XB
By Manny - June 1 - 8:43 pmI love the fact that I was actually able to get the car stock and I was able to get the car I wanted in three days. This car comes with all the options that one needs for comfort. The interior is so spacious, it seems to defy physics. I smile at the gas pump as my fuel economy has gone from 13 to 31 mpg and I am no longer afraid of the possibility of $4+/gallon prices. I am amazed at the cars ability to take corners and the power that the car does have for its engine size.
