Typically Toyota - 2006 Scion TC
By FraVal - April 15 - 8:03 pmMy wife started out wanting a Honda Civic. She test drove a Civic and then we visited the Toyota dealership where she test drove the Scion tC. We bought it based on good looks, value, and its much quieter ride than the Civic. She has driven the car since 5/06 with no problems. The car is reliable (typical Toyota), comfortable, good on gas and always gets a second glance. The Scions automatic transmission shifts flawlessly and has good power from the time tested Camry 4-cyl engine. I highly recommend a test drive, youll buy one too.

By KEITH - April 9 - 6:50 amEver since I got my Scion it has been fun to drive without worrying about refueling. $10 dollars get more than half tank and with todays prices I fill up with $38 dollars, thats on super premium. Thats why I love this car!

Lovin my TC - 2006 Scion TC
By Loving it! - April 3 - 12:53 pmI purchased my car brand new in 10/06. Its been almost 2 years and I have over 60k miles on it. I drive it mostly on the highway and I dont care for the amount of noise from the sunroof (event when its closed). I have also had a problem with the molding between the windshield and the sunroof. It has blown off twice! The drivers seat broke about a month after I had the vehicle and the dealership had to replace the entire thing! My tc is great in any driving condition and I love the speed I get from it. I always feel safe driving it and I love the way it handles! Except for the few minor things I absolutely love the car! I just wish it came with a better warranty.

Nice Car - 2006 Scion TC
By rissa223 - March 19 - 3:13 pmI really enjoy the Scion tC. I have had it for six months and bought it for my teenage daughter originally. Now, were talking about buying her another one, because I just cant give it up. We were leasing an Infiniti G35, and I would have never dreamed that I would like something so much for less than $20,000 (and that was after adding some stuff like a TRD muffler, spoiler, rear, side-curtain airbags, and all-weather mats). It was time to return the G35 and get something else, but I think Ill just stick with the tC. Its a lot of fun. The only drawback is the dashboard interior - it looks cheap, like plastic. I have not had any problems with rattling or noise like I have read sometimes. This car is lots of fun.

By martin - March 4 - 10:20 pmMy tC replaced an 03 Lexus GS 300 and so far has done so without regret. Its standard equipment package, including the more than adequate 160 hp, 163 lb.-ft. 2.4L VVTI engine leaves little room for any "wish you hads" while enjoying the drive. The tCs styling separates the car from its competitors by offering clean lines and a smart simplicity that turns heads. Other than getting slightly bellow "excellent" fuel economy and a sound system thats so poor its laughable the Scion tC provided me great value for my dollar as well as that warm feeling we all get when driving something that looks as good as it gets. Do the research and test drives with its competition and youll agree.

By Wendi - February 25 - 9:03 pmEven after 15 months of ownership, this car never fails to please. How many cars are this versatile, inexpensive, fun to drive, and gorgeous to look at? The tC is both quick and fuel efficient (I get 28 mpg city). It handles beautifully (even in snow) and is comfortable - my kids love the reclining back seats! With the seats down, the tC functions like a truck, Ive hauled an 8 ft. Christmas tree, surfboards, bicycles, you name it! Theres plenty of leg room, and the double glass roof visually expands the interior. This car delivers performance, practicality, and style equal to the snob-appeal brands at almost half the price. Ive driven everything from a Mercedes to an RX-7 and this car tops them all.

Items to be aware of... - 2006 Scion TC
By Anjanette - February 5 - 3:26 amWe bought our tC new. We do love it but there are some build quality issues that need to be dealt with. The back panel, at the trunk release, broke off. The C-pillar air bag covers have popped off. The vent fan squeals and sometimes has stopped (thats fun in the blazing summer). Our breaks needed to be replaced at 33k miles and we dont drive hard or jam our foot into them. The tires are low profile and develop breaks in the sidewall radials easily if a hole or other bump is hit just right. The tires are also expensive and dont gain traction well on wet pavement and easily break loose. With continued use the seats dont stay in place when slid forward when accessing the back seat.
