best bang for the buck bar none! The standard options for this car are above ecceptional for a mear 17k, this car is equiped with features more like a 23k sedan. interior room is fantasic with enough room to fit 4 6 guys no problem. The dash is nicely appointed with satin silver finishes and a cool flip up door that covers the pioneer stereo. Performance is fantastic! keep in mind it is not a v8, but the 4 banger has enough guts to put a smile on your face. The handling is awesome with a little under steer when pushed but much less than most FWDs. steering and brakes are very positive with a secure feeling for the street. TRD sway bars and springs would be a good option for racing.

We bought the tC for our 16 yr old son. He loves it! We bought it with ground affects/18 inch Perrilli tires/upgraded sound-subwoofer-iPod dock/interior lights/Billet grille/spoiler on back and more. It is so much fun to drive and it looks great. Sure he wishes it had a big engine, but for a 16 year old new driver this is as much power as we wanted him to have. My son is also tall and this is one of the few cars that had plenty of head/leg room for him.

When the gas prices started rocketing, I thought it best to get rid of my beloved Jeep Wrangler. What I ended up with was the hotest car on the market for the price, the Scion tC. Instead of the 15 mpg / hwy that I was getting I now get 30!!

Ive owned this car for about 2 and half years now. I absolutely love it! The backseat is roomier than my friends Corolla, the interior and exterior design is refreshing and cute, and the ride is unbelievably smooth and quiet. I still get second glances at my car- -and its over two years old! Ive never had a single problem out of it. The features that are found on the TC are amazing and unrivaled by any other small car (Satellite interface, plenty of aux. ports, 17" rims, power side mirrors, turn signal on side mirrors, etc). The car has some serious pep, the air conditioning works like a charm, and the handling is great! Even the gas mileage is pretty darn decent! Such a great lil car!

  • Great car w/ one BIG problem - 2006 Scion TC

The paint began chipping on the car the first month I bought it (July of 2004). I have since gone to arbitration and spoken with many people about the ordeal and found the issue is widespread. The paint chips and peels extremely easily- unlike any other car I have had and Ive had 4 other new cars. It is ridiculous. So ridiculous in fact, that Scion decided to inconspiculously change the Silver and Navy Blue colors to nearly identical colors (but different paint) for the 06 lineup. Way to go Scion- but youve still got one big problem, you wont have a ton of repeat buyers and brand loyalty to Toyota and Lexus when your cars have to get new paint jobs every year!

At around 19,500 after taxes/tags, you cant beat the comfort and performance of the 06 Scion Tc. I absolutely love every minute of driving it

Bought my 06 tC in may 2006 with 53 miles on it, now up to 210,000+ miles. No major issues what so ever. I still have the original car battery, which is impressive. I did have to add some distilled water into it after 6 years, no big feat there. I have a short RAM intake, Borla axle back exhaust, which after adding bumped my MPG to about 31-33 hwy. Most of my driving is hwy, my daily commute is 60 mi each way. and I drive frequently from San Diego to Sacramento, roughly 550 mi each way. The tC is comfortable enough to drive the whole way with no problems. Im 510". Very easy to maintain. Easy access to the oil filter, I always check the placement of that on cars before buying.

The 2006 Scion tC is an overall TEN in my book. It has nice looks with overall good perfomance. It can be tricked out anyway you want as well. Im sure there be more ways to customize your Scion and add on features from the aftermarket world.

How much better could a 17000 car get? It is the best value around.

My girlfriend and I financed a tC last year, and it rides very cool. Im not much of a manual driver, so for me its a great car. Im also just under 66" and it has a lot more room behind the wheel than I thought it would. It gets great mileage, has a decent sound system (which we upgraded), and already has an exterior look that only requires ground effects for that street racing look. However, I wouldnt recommend factory upgrades for the car. Other racing dealers are way cheaper that Scion. Start off adding an Injen Cold Air Intake, and any catback exhaust for fun. Enjoy the ride
