Lots of fun to drive, great gas mileage.

  • great little car - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

Purchased this car two months ago, and have definately enjoyed it. It handles like a charm and gets 35mpg on the highway. Dont know how well the AWD functions, as inclement weather has not shown itself yet. The AWD is a bit sluggish off the line, but holds its own well at highway speeds. the automatic tranny has trouble finding the best gear when going up hills or when passing at high speeds. would definately prefer a manual in this car. but not a choice. car is often downshifting when cruise control is engaged, making for a loud ride at times

  • Watch out Matrix! - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

Pontiac told me it had a Toyota engine and that it wasbasicall the Matrix sister car, so I went to check out the Matrix and wanted one but Toyota did not want to negotiate. Went back to Pontiac, they gave me a heck of a price (better than Edmunds), so I bought one. I am in love with this car. My kids like it and my wife loves to drive it. Excellent gas mileage, smooth ride and it is cool looking. If it has a Toyota engine I am sure it will last and even though it may not have the Matrix resale value now, Toyota better not get comfortable because this car will dominate the Matrix, especially if Toyota keeps their prices up.

  • Great Commuter Car - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

We have had this vehicle 12 months. Havent been back to the dealer yet for anything. I drove for 6 months. My wife drove for 6 months. We both like it. For comparison, I bought a new chevy cavalier wagon back in 1985 and it was overall a great car for all 12 years I owned it. The Vibe is kind of like the new improved version of the chevy. Bigger tires, ABS brakes and much, much more comfortable seating. It was actually a coin toss between buying the Vibe or a Ranger pickup. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, and in view of todays gas prices, I think the Vibe provides the better overall utility and bang for the buck.

  • THe Vibe GT Rocks! - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

After 60 days in the Vibe GT I am very happy with this car. The acceleration is great and it is a fun car to drive. It handles well, although you have to pay attention at highway speeds. The 6-speed gearbox is tight and it shifts easily. I have NAV, and the CD Changer and larger wheels. I find people staring at it all the time, maybe as it is Lava Red. A great buy at the price!

I love my Vibe. It is sleek and cute and I feel very comfortable behind the wheel. It is spacious but does not drive like a big car. The gas mileage is excellent.

  • A Good Purchase - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

The Vibe 2003 model is the car that I chose. It handles well and is very economical. I have to drive long distances everyday and find that the Vibe saves me gas money. I recommend it to anyone interested in a vehicle that will get them where they need to go and will save them money at the gas pump.

  • quality at a good price - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

Ive had my Vibe for 2 years now. I have live in California and it has been on the beach and over the Sierra Mountians. Have never had a single problem. Mileage is what was advertised, although it did take a break-in period to get there. The paint on the bumpers and bottom door trim could be a little better. Im a big 50 year old man. It takes me camping and on business trips. Still get comments on the looks of it. Friends have been so impressed a few have purchased Vibes. You wont be disappointed.

I just bought my FWD Vibe and I love it. its roomy, comfortable seats awesome moon roof and stereo. It has good pickup and interior of gauges is RED lol.I love the flexibility of rear seat going flat and for longer items, passenger folds too, family cant believe all the room. My grandkids love the big side windows too.

  • Dont waste your money on the imports. - 2004 Pontiac Vibe

This car has it all, roomy, good handling great stereo, excellent GM build quality, good gas mileage, color choices, super bargain from dealers who helped me find every discount that was available. Power package is worth the money. Lookad at Matrix but not the same bargain and so much uglier in a blah way. Toyota engine tends to drone on though at least has some pep.All thats unknown is long term reliability but so far its ahead of my previous Nissan (various electrical problems never found by dealer). If this car had Saturns dentproof panels it would be just about perfect.Anyway ,buy one ,you wont be sorry.
