This Year's Model Updates:

The 2010 Nissan Sentra receives a new optional navigation system (late availability) that includes a 5-inch color screen and real-time traffic information. Other tweaks include revised headlights and taillights for all models, a new grille and front fascia for the 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL, a standard 4.3-inch color-display audio head unit with iPod and Bluetooth controls for 2.0 SL and the SE-R models, and an optional back-up camera for the navigation system. Also, the 2.0SL receives standard stability control, but its leather upholstery is now optional rather than standard. Finally, the slight fuel economy increase provided by last year's "FE+" trim level has been added to all models with the 2.0-liter engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Pros:
  • Spacious seating, intuitive control layout, varied engine lineup.
Cons:
  • Droning acceleration with CVT, flinty ride, forgettable handling in all but the SE-R models.

What a nice car, especially with the I- pod interface as standard. Rides nice/quiet on the road. Base price was down $600.00 from 2009 in the S line. Been driving GM cars for the last 20 years, purchased 10 Brand New, and with the new change they are not for me no longer, cmon a Colbalt more money then the Sentra. Way to go Nissan!

I really like the ride and handling of the Sentra S. I test drove several others and preferred the Sentra as it had a smooth ride and plenty of power. The Convenience Package is great, especially the keyless system. The VDC Package is also excellent . These 2 options on the 2.0 S make it great to drive and easy to use. It just felt more of a solid ride to me than the others. Excellent runabout or road ride with safety ratings.

Cheaper than the competition; a good value. 72,000 miles, extended warranty. Problem limited to CV. Solonoids wouldnt activate after being overheated in long turnpike leg. Wouldnt shift back to low upon stopping, necessitating sart up in high. Nissan dragged their feet admitting they had a problem. Otherwise, gearless transmission works great, very smooth.

  • Hard steering and stiff ride upon deacce - 2010 Nissan Sentra
    By -

If i reduce my speed to 20mph with a brake and if i allow the car to stop itself i feel a stiff ride at 15mph even without applying the brakes and that gets alright after few seconds. The dealer is saying this is how all the Nissan Sentra runs due to CVT transmission. But i heard the CVT gives problem only during acceleration. Secondly i find the steering is hard....

  • Nissan Sentra 2010 - no recomendation at all - 2010 Nissan Sentra
    By -

This is the worse car I ever had. Extremely high fuel consumption. Average more than 12 liters per 100 km. Mostly driving 2 persons, no speeding or excessive braking, 60% city 40% highways. Both dealer and Nissan refused to do anything with it, they say it is normal. My opinion official data about fuel consumption are out by 2 litres at least. Cheap material used everywhere, no space at rear seats. My recommendation - try to avoid this car. Bad dealers and Nissan support, they are just trying to catch you. I was driving many cars, did well over 1.5 mil. km but this is the lemon No.1.

  • So So Sentra - 2010 Nissan Sentra

We have about 12,000 miles on it now. After owning two Hyundai`s, I guess I expected more from the Sentra, sinse we paid more for it. No problems so far. Does not get the mpg advertised, we average 30-32 at best. My only complaint would be the CVT transmission, we live where we have a lot of two lane country roads where you may need pass slower traffic offen. I have found it accelerates faster at about 5000 rpm than it does with your foot to the floor. I find this irritating and if this is normal, I would not own another Nissan if this transmission was the only option. Normal driving, It seems to work fine.

  • It has it all over the 07 Matrix - 2010 Nissan Sentra
    By -

Ive only had this car a few days so the above numbers can and will change. I traded in my 07 Matrix which was under powered and had an extremely loud engine. It was literately trying me crazy. Especially on the highway The car had only 25000 miles on it. I have to say when test driving the the SR it made me realized I could no longer tolerate my noisy but dependable Matrix.

  • 2nd Nissan bought in a month time - 2010 Nissan Sentra

I bought an Altima 2.5 SL last month and absolutely found this to be a joy to drive. I didnt want to buy another Altima but I was surely sold on Nissan so I bought a Sentra. I enjoy driving this as much as the Altima. I would sincerely like to offer a word to a new car looker, buy one of these cars. You will be pleasantly surprised. I came real close to buy a Honda Accord, but found that the pricing and quality are far superior in the Nissan. I didnt even give the Civic a look see.

  • A great, practical car - 2010 Nissan Sentra
    By -

Ive had my 2010 Nissan Sentra for about two years now and I love it! I previously owned a used 1995 Nissan Maxima, which had 200,000 miles and served me well, but I was ready for something new. This is a very practical car -- good gas mileage, big trunk (good for golf clubs), and nice features (auxiliary input for Ipod). The feel of a CVT took some getting used to but now I really like it. The car has more power than other compact cars Ive driven that are rather gutless. Ive had no major issues in the past two years -- just needed a replacement of one sun visor while still under warranty.

  • Love my 2010 Sentra!! - 2010 Nissan Sentra

I got this car brand new and havent had any problems with it. I currently have 133k miles on it and am now having to put minor money into it for routine age/mileage repairs. Ive almost driven the wheels off of it and it is still a reliable work horse. Id buy another one of I could! Great car!!!
