This Year's Model Updates:

The 2010 Nissan Sentra receives a new optional navigation system (late availability) that includes a 5-inch color screen and real-time traffic information. Other tweaks include revised headlights and taillights for all models, a new grille and front fascia for the 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL, a standard 4.3-inch color-display audio head unit with iPod and Bluetooth controls for 2.0 SL and the SE-R models, and an optional back-up camera for the navigation system. Also, the 2.0SL receives standard stability control, but its leather upholstery is now optional rather than standard. Finally, the slight fuel economy increase provided by last year's "FE+" trim level has been added to all models with the 2.0-liter engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Pros:
  • Spacious seating, intuitive control layout, varied engine lineup.
Cons:
  • Droning acceleration with CVT, flinty ride, forgettable handling in all but the SE-R models.

  • My New 2010 Sentra SL - 2010 Nissan Sentra

Great car! I have had lots of cars in this class including Corolla, Cavalier and Focus. This car by far seems to be more durable and fun to drive without all the loud road noise. Pricing in comparison to Honda and Toyota was much more affordable, Sentras also come with more options for less cash than their competitors. Nissan is offering 1,500 cash back and zero percent financing. Trust me you wont be disappointed I love my new car!

I really wanted a Cube for ease of entry and liked the "funky" look, but could not make a deal with my trade in and no cash back. The Sentra was suggested due to cash back and 0.0 APR. I was skeptical about it at first being a loyal Civic owner. I cannot fit in the 2010 Civic, the roof line is too low! Plus Honda pricing is getting to high! However this car has plenty room for a 6 foot 4 man. I dont have to hunch over to get in and plenty of head and leg room. Plenty of pick up with the CVT and quiet at highway speeds. Great vehicle and feels much larger from the inside. Basic transportation with an upscale feel. Perfect for this economy.

  • Great City Car - 2010 Nissan Sentra

Just put on 1200 miles and this car is great. Very quit and comfortable. I traded in a van and have no regrets. I get about 31 miles to the gallon with mixed driving. Feels very solid and build quality is excellent. Great power for city driving with 6 speed manual. Fun to drive in the city and quiet whats not to like. Very happy with purchase.

  • Its what I wanted and expected... - 2010 Nissan Sentra

I wasnt looking for a sports car or truck. I was looking for a small car with some extra features and thats exactly what I got. The CVT is smooth and driving is comfortable. I wanted something with good gas mileage and once again I am not disappointed. The car takes off and drives smoothly on the road and even seems to handle snow and sleet without any problem.

  • Very nice practical vehicle - 2010 Nissan Sentra

Nice car, smooth quiet ride, great mpg. On both city driving and highway the car has adequate handling and acceleration. The 2.0 engine and the CVT transmission are not sluggish. Plenty of room in the cabin. Build quality is excellent. The drivers seat is very comfortable with plenty of leg room for tall drivers. A cheaper car with more trim line features than Mazda, Toyota, &Honda. Remember the sentra sr is not a true sports car so dont expect it to perform like one! Its a great commuter car and fun to drive.

  • Exceptional compact car - 2010 Nissan Sentra

My 2010 Sentra SR was my first new car purchase and I couldnt be happier. The standard features it comes equipped with cant be beat for the price (e.g. iPod connection, steering wheel mounted audio controls, fog lamps). The distinct sporty exterior styling looks great and sets it apart from other compacts. Yes, the interior could have been more refined, but it functions well and is the most roomy compact I have ever been in. I get great gas mileage (30 mpg) and enjoy driving it around the city and on the highway. The factory installed audio system is exceptional and I always receive compliments about it. Overall, Im very happy with my purchase.

  • Underrated! - 2010 Nissan Sentra

Put my first 800 miles driving from south Florida to East Tennessee. Entering North Carolinas Appalachian mountain region on interstate 26, this little Sentra with 16 inch tires and CVT delivered exceedingly smooth and capable performance for a supposed compact. I wanted to buy American and wish Chevy would build such a great compact now that America needs to conserve gas more than ever - but they seem too interested in pushing their "onstar" instead of the virtues of the car itself. Looked at Kia Forte, Ford focus and Mazda3. The Mazda3 would have been my second choice. Honda Civic was not even considered because it, along with VW, in my opinion, were way overpriced in this segment.

  • Best Deal - 2010 Nissan Sentra

I have had this car for just about 2 months now and I LOVE IT. The gas mileage is great, I am averaging about 31 with 50% city/50% highway. It is roomier than any other compact car I have had, I get more compliments on the design as well. I looked at several others in the same class, but always came back to the sentra and it has not let me down.

  • Simply love the Sentra. - 2010 Nissan Sentra

Just took delivery in mid-July, but very impressed so far. The Continuously Variable Transmission fascinated me and it is so far ahead of competitor offerings. Initial impressions are: dash and controls are well designed and positioned, the ride is as good or better than much larger and more expensive cars, ample storage compartments, quality is evident with exterior finish and interior upholstery, surprising amount of head and legroom, and the gas mileage is all that had been hoped. I have long been a GM owner, but now a Nissan convert. I never expected such value, quality, and amenities for the price. I wanted value and Nissan delivered. This is a second car, but now my favorite.

I just picked up my new sentra sr and I am so excited. We already have a 2007 and have been very happy with it. Great ride, style, and deal. I got it out the door at $15,400 after dealing with several dealerships. I am looking forward to driving a new car and having low up keep costs.
