At current prices nothing comes close to this one if sporty versatile package is what you are looking for. Heres the big picture: Go-Kart style fun, seats five(if needed), good trunk space, high 20s for mixed driving MPG, econobox plastics and build quality. Reliable. Cheap. Big After market improovemnt potential, esp handling. For more info visit www.b15sentra.net. See my car and mods write ups here: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/392 332

Originally we wanted a Manual, but couldnt find one in upstate NY. Went with an Automatic, sunroof, ABS, side ABs, Road Trip Group and spoiler. For all these features we paid what a stripped down Civic or Corolla would cost, due to the $2500 rebate. Nissan also gave us a 4.25% loan. Quality is up with Toyota and Civic, dont know what Edmunds is looking at. Its got adequate power and is stylish. The interior is functional and well laid out. The back seat is plenty big, again what is Edmunds looking at - Im 6 with long legs. Trunk is a good size and the fold down seats are welcome. Not sure on gas mileage yet, only have about 500 miles on it.

I JUST PURCHASED THE 2004 SENTRA 2.5 S AND AFTER A TRIP TO FLORIDA, I FOUND THE FLAWS. 1.) THE SEATS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS; SERIOUSLY NEED LUMBAR SUPPORT. 2.) THE GAS MILEAGE IS SHAKY. 3.) THE HANDLING SHOULD BE TIGHTER AT HIGHER SPEEDS. 4.) THE STEREO SYSTEM: NEED SPEAKERS THAT CAN ACTUALLY HANDLE THE OUTPUT OF THE DECK. ALTHOUGH HEADS WERE ROCKING TO MY SOUNDS! 5.) FOG LIGHTS SHOULD BE STANDARD ON THE 2.5 S MODELS THAT HAVE THE REAR SPOILER AND SUNROOF, I MEAN, WHY STOP THERE? 6.) OH YEAH, THE TIRES NEED TO BE A TAD BIT WIDER CONSIDERING THE CAR HAS SOME KICK TO IT.

I test drove the vehicle before I purchased it, so I am not totally surprised at some of the less than stellar highlights. However, I am shocked that the gas milage is not measuring up the estimated EPA rating- the interior part are very cheap look, such as the dash storage compartment and the overhead eyeglass storage-I have the upgraded sound system, it great. Its also two inches less interior compartment space than the Honda Civic-that makes it tought for almost anyone to ride in the backseat- the tilt steering column barely tilt at all-and worst of the complaints, the headlights are easily stolen

I was happy with my 89 Nissan therefore bought a 2004. I find it very noisy in city driving. Also a very hard ride in so much as every crack, bump, etc. is felt. I am very disappointed with the mileage I get per gallon. I do not get what is listed. I average 175 miles a full tank which equals 12 gallons. I wish I had researched but didnt have the time.

With this vehicle, I REALLY feel that I am being ripped off since the reliability has dipped WAY below zero in my book, and there were times that I felt Hyundais were better cars until I read worse reviews. Either way, I couldve had my Buick repaired for the price of 1-3 loan payments instead of paying $320/month for an unreliable piece of junk that I had to tow twice, stall on the freeway and lose a job over the refusal to provide loaner cars. I had to bring in the car 8 times within the last year for ECU, brakes and transmission issues, and I sincerely thank the BBB for helping me win a Lemon Law settlement!

  • I like my sentra! - 2004 Nissan Sentra

Thes sentra is a very reliable, good car. I have had it for about two months and I drive it a lot because I like my new car. About a week ago, I crashed it though because the brakes (which arent ABS) skidded in the rain. My fault, but I hope when it is fixed (with a new bumper, hood, headlights, and radiator) that it is still as good as when it went in the shop.
