Overview & Reviews
The 2002 Nissan Pathfinder receives only minor refinements. These include a new front grille, steering wheel and a revised audio system with new faceplate and faster functioning in-dash six-disc CD changer. The SE trim, now the base Pathfinder since the XE has been dropped, features a new titanium-accented step rail and roof rack with integrated air dam, body-color bumpers and fender flares, new 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and new seat cloth. Not to be outdone, the luxurious LE has 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels as standard equipment this year.
- Powerful V6 engine, car-like interior, solid reliability record, rear entertainment system option, available Infiniti All-Mode 4WD on LE models.
- Tight rear accommodations, high price tag, hard-to-fold rear seats.

The Best SUV u can get - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By Phill - November 4 - 10:00 amI just purchased a 2002 Pathfinder SE 2wd, Bronzed Grey. The ride is spectacular. Ive test drove other suvs. I.e. Rodeo, 30 less hp. Truck like ride. 4runner, same thing, overpriced, slow 183hp engine. Highlander, Waaayyy too expensive, and only 220hp, FWD. I love everything about this car.

Good Pathfinder - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By R Cross - September 13 - 10:50 pmVery good stylish vehicle which has ample storage or travelling space. Rides extremely well and handles well in snow or other wet conditions. We have 2 dogs who enjoy travelling between Rhode Island and Pennsylvania where we use the SUV to go to football games and tailgate with friends and family.

I love it! - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By firemt27 - June 26 - 10:00 amBought my 02 Le 4/04. I love it!!! The price was right. WAY more power than the S/C Xterra and the 2000 and older Pathfinders. Every option I could want, rides nice for a SUV. Luxurious fit and finish for a reasonable price. Nissan quality is great.

All-around best SUV I have driven - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By Thalodian - May 22 - 2:00 amBefore purchasing my Pathfinder, I drove several of the top brands and found them all lacking in one way or another. The Pathfinder combines car-like ride and handling with class-leading power in a luxurious package. The only down-side is the fuel economy, which is a trade-off for having 250 HP under the hood.

GREAT SUV - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By BP - February 21 - 10:00 amLove the Pathfinder! Has all the bells and whistles you could want. Great power, good towing capacity. Super comfortable. Love the Nissan quality after suffering through 6 miserable years with a Chevy Blazer that had nothing but problems.

2002 Pathfinder LE Blows the Others Away - 2002 Nissan Pathfinder
By dkh1020 - January 10 - 10:00 amI just picked up my 2002 Pathfinder LE 2WD this weekend and couldnt be more pleased. After driving a 1999 Pathfinder LE for three years, I decided to shop the competition & nothing compared. The Pathfinder is clearly a superior product at a bargain price. The fit, finish, build quality and reliability are second to none. Interior materials and design are first rate. The cabin is comfortable and quiet while the ride quality rivals some sedans. The 240 hp 3.5 liter engine is exceptional and makes driving the SUV a blast. The six disc in dash Bose unit is phenomenal. Nissan has done a great job keeping an aging design fresh while continually improving the product.
