Overview & Reviews
There are only minor changes to this Nissan truck for 2006. A power package with keyless entry, cruise control and power windows, locks and mirrors is available for the King Cab XE, and NISMO and LE models now have chrome accents on the gauge cluster and air vents. Additionally, manual transmission-equipped NISMO models have a new shift knob for 2006.
- Powerful V6 engine, roomy interior, innovative bed features, stout frame and advanced off-road systems provide excellent capability in the dirt.
- No regular-cab body style available, too much hard plastic inside, choppy ride on pavement.

XE 4 cylinder Great Choice - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Ron - July 11 - 1:23 amI really enjoy my XE Frontier. The 4 cylinder engine is quiet and runs smooth. The 5 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth and is great on gas mileage. The seats are very comfortable. The new body style looks great. I am very pleased with my Nissan Frontier. They did a fine job from design to assembly.

Bought this after tons of research - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Hooper - July 7 - 7:10 pmBought this after doing tons of research. Couldnt beat the value of what we got for our money. Would have preferred a Honda Ridgeline, but they just cost so much its silly. Drove lots of Toyota Tacomas, Ford Sport Tracs, and Frontiers. Nissan was the clear winner.

Tacoma vs Frontier - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Mike - May 28 - 6:03 amAfter 3 months of comparing these two vehicles, the Frontier won! It cost much less than the Tacoma, it has more "git up and go", and has a more solid ride verses the bouncy feel I sensed in the Tacoma. I figured that the Frontier has far more horsepower and torque per pound in comparison to the other trucks. As an added bonus, my first round trip in the Bay Area freeways resulted an average 24.6 mpg on regular gas! City driving cuts into it at about 18.5 mpg. Though I miss the compass/temp read-out feature, the balance of the dashboard is laid out very thoughtfully. Some say that theres too much plastic in it but its my work truck, who cares!

Its just OK - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Mike G - March 26 - 9:36 pmNice looks, powerful engine, roomy interior.6,000 miles and cant get comfortable behind the wheel. Gas mileage is dissapointing. Idles roughly when stopped at a light. Dealer cant find anything wrong, I say I shouldnt get a seat massage at every light!

Solid Truck - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Old Toyota Guy - March 12 - 2:13 pmBeing an old toyota guy, this truck matches right with them but at a better price. Very comfortable for a truck but gutsy in the bad weather.

Frontier Rocks!! - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Derrick Mandujano - March 1 - 5:06 pmI have always owned Ford Trucks and every one of them seem to break down after 36,000 miles. I traded my 4x4 Ranger Edge for a New 2006 Nissan Frontier LE........Now this is a compact truck to be recond with!!! The Dealership was ecellent in getting what I want and at the price I wanted...I recommend anoyone to Gunn Nissan, they were honest, quick, and kept informed.

Mini Titan - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Richard P. - March 1 - 2:53 amA definite upgrade from my Ford Ranger. More room, more power. Spray in bed liner, cargo tie down kit, locking tailgate, and bed rail caps a plus. 6300 lbs. towing capacity. Big truck ride. Nissan did their homework on this one.

Love everything but the interior - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By rsrtampa - February 18 - 12:36 amThe Frontier is a great truck and I am very pleased with it. The power is more than adequate and the interior room is good. The handling is great and the road noise is very low for a truck. The interior is just boring. The controls are all in fairly good locations but the styling is just blah. There is no nice trim pieces and the seats are not as supportive as they should be.
