  • Love My Nissan - 2008 Nissan Altima

Well I just bought it a week ago and so far I love everything about the car! It has a wonderful drive and even with a 4 cyl the put up is amazing! Coming from a V6 I was a little worried but the pickup really surprised me. The only thing I can think of that I would change would be the leg room for the driver. Being a very long legged person, after a long drive the leg room falls a little short. Other than that, so far this is by far the best sedan Ive ever owned!

This is a great car. I enjoy driving it very much. I have owned many nissan models for the past 20 years and I was an employee for nissan for a short time. I love the car a lot however I find the interior material fit and finish chip quality. There are some annoying clicking sound comes from? Dashboard area where windshield meets the dashbord. Also time to time I hear cracking sound from the sunroof which is extremely annoying. The headliner on the back has came off a bit and looks like crap.

  • Great value!! - 2008 Nissan Altima

The ride is excellent. Its fun to drive, a much better vehicle against its competitors, however Im doing 19 mpg in town, instead of 24. Ive not been driving fast so I can get the best gas mileage. But overall is a great car. I have been enjoying it very much!!

  • Still Lovin It! Whoosh on! - 2008 Nissan Altima

Bought the 3.5 SE 10 weeks ago -- still a great ride! Do see the tire light when it gets cold but that seems to resolve when weather warms up again. Otherwise, no problems yet. Recommend you spring for the compass mirror with integrated garage opener -- available as an add-on from dealer.

  • Buyer beware - 2008 Nissan Altima

Purchased this car after considering Acura TL among the usual suspects in the same price range. I wish I had sprung for the extra 5000 dollars, as it seems like a bargain after five months of ownership. Nissans interior quality is shameful to be generous. This car has more rattles than Mazda I traded in. Panel gaps and sagging interior pieces are too numerous to mention. It is very fast and reasonable handling/ride and provides good 24.5 miles per gallon. Nissan has now gone on my never will buy again list.

  • Disappointed...again - 2008 Nissan Altima

I made the mistake of purchasing another Altima. I bought the 2.5 with SL Package Feb 08, and although the leather interior is one of the most comfortable Ive ever owned, the other problems have made me regret my decision. Ive had it serviced at the dealership for creaking and rattling noises in the drivers door at least 3 times. The 1st time, the service manager said that a squeak/rattle kit would fix the problem. It fixed 75% of the noises, but in 2 weeks, they had all returned. The next few times, the technician couldnt reproduce the problem therefore couldnt fix the problem. The drivers seat moves side to side even after the dealership "fixed" it too. I cant recommend this car!

I bought this car about 5 months a go. I was enjoying this car for first 2 months. It was fun to drive until I had to take it in for driver side seat movement. The driver seat moves left to right when you do any type of turns. It even moves when you move it by hand. Dealers last note on their service paper "Fixed the broken bushing, seat still moves." I have called their customer support number. They keep telling me that they are working on this problem. No resolution. Finally, I got hold of Lemon Law ATTORNEY and filled a LAW SUIT with Nissan. I will NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN.

  • Joy To Drive and Own 4Cyl Drives Like V6 - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I have now owned this vehicle for approximately 1 year and my experience has been fully satisfactory. I cannot think of a better sedan that offers this much power, style, great handling - all at a reasonable price! ENGINE: This vehicle handles like a V6 sedan, but uses gas like a 4CYL. It still surprises me that this 4CYL CVT engine can produce 175HP with powerful torque, and gets about 27MPG combined city highway driving - translates to about 530 miles to 20GAL tank (600MI all highway). HANDLING: When taking tight curves on the road, I have no fear to take them even faster, as the steering is responsive and accurate. >>> Extremely happy with my first purchase of any car! Highly recommended.

  • Great Sporty Car! - 2008 Nissan Altima

Previously had an 07 2.5 Altima Sedan and LOVED it but wanted something sportier after a year of owning it. Lived up to exactly what its built to be, a front wheel drive sporty car! First trip was to North Carolina in the first week of owning the car, averaged between 70-75mph on the eight hour trip from Florida (may have given it the beans a few times on the hwy as well) and had a 31mpg rating both ways to and from NC. Decided to give the suspension a work out on the mountain roads of Pisgah national forest. The car handled beautifully! The ride is TIGHT though, dont expect a soft ride in the SE package. It is made to be sporty! Loved the car and would only change the turning radius.

  • Poor Brakes - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I purchased my 2008 Altima in March 08 and I have already had to have my rear brakes replaced and rotors filed down. Mind you I have only 10k miles on my car. I really like my car a lot however I dont know if I am too thrilled that I am having brake problems already.
