This Year's Model Updates:

Nissan adds a roadster to the 350Z lineup. Available in Enthusiast and Touring variants, the 2004 Nissan 350Z roadster offers the same performance and handling as the Z coupe but with the added fun of top-down driving. In other news, satellite radio (either XM or Sirius) is a new option this year for the Touring version of the coupe.

Pros:
  • Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
Cons:
  • Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

  • 350Z Needs Twin Turbo - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Great car, nothing like the older Turbo models though. Interior is nice, with sharp contemporary design. A bit difficult to get in and out of, dont buy one if you have a bad back.

  • Love My "Z" - 2004 Nissan 350Z

"Z" That says a lot based on the history. The car handles like a dream on tight mountain curves as well as the informal race track "I-64". The ride is a bit stiff as one would expect from a performance car. The sweet 3.5 litre V-6 cranks out smooth, even power. She is sleek in design and easy on the eyes with a wide stance and flaring fenders. My silverstone "Z" isnt vain even though she has a platinum name.

  • Lots of fun - 2004 Nissan 350Z

So far it has been definitely a lot of fun to drive. It has a lot of spunk and it handles better than my previous car, a Vette C5. At higher speeds it handles incredibly well. It grabs the road like no other car Ive ever driven. The finish on the interior lacks luxury and the seats are not as comfortable as one would like. The interior has a few cubby spaces that are not easily accessible and therefor are useless. It definitely is a much improved model compared to previous Z models Ive had, 280ZX and 300ZX. The interior in comparison to previous Zs in my opinion, has become less comfortable and less plush. Overall I think its a great car for the dollar.

  • buy 350Z! - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Proud owner of 2004 enthusiest coupe. just love this car so much, i think im going to keep it forever. i have some aftermarket parts on and turns head everywhere i go. built quality is not as good as toyota but pretty good, wish interior was better material. i had some problem with CD player but no other problems so far 16000 mls. great power and best exhaust sound car for under $50K car! im planning to put 400HP twin turbo sometime soon. gas mileage is fair, i drive at LA and avg 23mpg but require premium gas. handling is great but suspension is too stiff for some people, 6-speed manual is very fun but not so smooth. interior is very very roomy but trunk is bit small. excellent car!

  • On Z Road Again - 2004 Nissan 350Z
    By -

After much deliberation and comparison, the Z offered much for a reasonable deal...complete with fire under the hood, sex appeal, and rarity. Improvements can be made in the regions of more low end torque, a less notchy shifter, softer ride, and better interior materials. The benefits though are overwhelming...very stable even at blinding accelleration, stunning in appearance, taut, muscular, beautiful exhaust note, quick retractable roof and like most impressive physical specimens, gorgeous with its top off.

  • Almost There - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Good car for the money. The car drives great and the looks turn heads all the time. The car is well rounded and always fun. The only thing that would keep me from buying another one is Nissans service. Nissan does not service or support this product very well.

  • A HIT BUT NOT A HOMER - 2004 Nissan 350Z

Interior disappointing insofar as storage and materials. Exterior still turns heads. Tire feathering problem is worrysome, dealer says the alignment is in spec but I have the problem. Does that mean there is no fix??

  • Huge Bang for the Buck - 2004 Nissan 350Z
    By -

Bought this car brand new and have loved every mile. Do not buy this car if you have a lead foot or if you dont like attention. Its FAST and only made for two people. Long trips get a little tiring but the mileage is great for a sports coupe with this much power. Easy to make this car really custom with bigger rims and tires and small style touches. Dont buy this car if you dont know how to drive, its 100% a drivers car.

  • Great fun but bad planning - 2004 Nissan 350Z

This car is a great deal of fun and I love driving it. I have had the car for 5 mos and have put on 7k miles (21K toatl),the car has had the trans replaced with a brand new unit bc its a known defect, the rear axle replaced and theres a few others that they still cant figure out where and why yet but I know that the car will have to be back pretty soon. Other than that the car is the most fun that I have ever had for less than $80k, it kills STI, Evo MR,Toyota Supra TT and almost everything that I see on the road. This car is a beast but it does have lots of mods but the cost is almost nothing compared to the the other cars and what you get from the performance.Get one w/warranty!!!
