Overview & Reviews
The base E320 is replaced with the E350 for 2006. The new model name indicates a new engine -- a 3.5-liter V6 with 268 hp, a 20-percent increase from the previous E320.
- Sleek and dignified design inside and out, pleasing blend of ride and handling, sophisticated safety features, all-wheel drive available on both sedan and wagon models.
- More expensive than competitors, confusing control layout, electronically controlled brakes lack progressive feel.

Love it - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Rob - April 28 - 11:56 amThis is my fourth Mercedes Benz car and by far the one I like most. I bought it for my wife as she wanted to downsize out of a Land Rover which was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned (bought out of a lease 15 months ahead). The Mercedes has plenty of room for my three children and the best safety rating for a family sedan. We live in he north east so we opted for the 4- Matic AWD system. The overall look and feel of the car are fantastic. Plenty of power and a terrific ride quality and handling make it a pleasure to drive. The gas mileage is actually quite good for a large car with 270HP but and it is an enormous upgrade over the 9 MPG city we got in the truck.

So far so good - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By William - January 25 - 7:46 pmTraded an 03 E320 for this 06 E320 CDI. The diesel is so quiet you dont know its there. Plenty of power and lots of nice features like nav system and Harmon-Kardon radio, rear sunshade. Better cupholder/center console layout than the 03. Only had it for two weeks but well pleased thus far.

New E - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Glenn - August 1 - 7:33 pmThis car was great from the start. The driving experience is best on the highway, as in city driving a driver might feel a bit disconnected from the road. Controls are easy to use while driving, although using my iPod proves a bit tricky to navigate through.

Outstanding Automobile - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Barondane - June 6 - 5:23 pmThe E350 is the perfect car for those who drive more than 25,000 miles yearly. This E truly lives up to the MB mystique. Fantastic ride, build quality, and exterior styling.

Who needs Hybrids - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By TD Austin - June 3 - 2:40 pmI have had this car for one month and 1300 miles - what a car. I am getting 33 MPG communting to work, great acceleration, great passing down kick at 60 MPH, and I can chirp the tires at a light - what more can you ask for. I traded my GS300 for this car and could not be happier. This car is not your fathers diesel

You need to get one - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Greystone - April 8 - 12:30 amI purchased this car with 25,000 miles on it, former lease. Maybe I am easy to please, but this is one GREAT car. I paid just over HALF price of a $59,000 sticker, and get all of the benes. Parktronic, which I NEVER would have chosed, Harmon audio, sunroof, etc. Love the auto door locks at 9 MPH, in dash NAV, rain sensitive wipers and Bi Xenons. Trunk is spacious for golf clubs and 7 spoke wheels are easy to clean. Tires are low ENOUGH (245) profile, but not low enough to worry about potholes. The car drives heavy. It is not nimble. I would highly recommend for HWY, but not nec for City driving. My first MB, and my first used car ever in 25 years. I may nvr buy new again. Certified. Do it.

My 6th and the best so far - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By John - March 24 - 11:03 pmThe new E350 represents my sixth Mercedes and absolutely the best so far. Im a large man and comfort is a major consideration. Ive driven in other high line cares and none compare with the head and leg room provided by the Mercedes. In addition the ride in the new car is so quiet that you can barely hear the engine. However once you step on the accelerator be prepared as the power it has is simply incredible. One of the other real benefits is as a big man at 64when I drive the car the person in the back seat isnt jammed in and I dont have to sacrifice by having to move the driver seat up.The cd player puts out a fabulous sound. The trunk space is emense.

Mercedes E320 CDI - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Jerry - March 12 - 11:36 pmRecently drove from FL to RI and averaged 36mpg. Very quiet and very powerful. Average around town and in the city is 25. I have been running bio-diesel so it is even more ecologically minded.
