Overview & Reviews
The base E320 is replaced with the E350 for 2006. The new model name indicates a new engine -- a 3.5-liter V6 with 268 hp, a 20-percent increase from the previous E320.
- Sleek and dignified design inside and out, pleasing blend of ride and handling, sophisticated safety features, all-wheel drive available on both sedan and wagon models.
- More expensive than competitors, confusing control layout, electronically controlled brakes lack progressive feel.

High end MB with low end econobox milage - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By John - September 11 - 8:56 amGreat build quality, interior layout and handling. Quiet engine, as well as wind noise at high speed due to high tech diesel and .27 drag coef. Handling is best Ive seen in a 4000lb sedan with road tests give it a .84 skid pad rating.. With 17" 245/45 wheels/tires it almost handles like a sports car. I am getting over 40 mpg consistently at speed over 70mph in freeway milage.. amazing.

Cant go wrong - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Daver - August 18 - 2:43 pmThis car has made driving fun again. Great handling, firm solid feeling, and an excellent build quality. After driving BMW and Lexus, there was no comparison to the overall driving experience. Better than advertised fuel economy. Only complaint is a some what noisy HVAC system.

Great combo of ride and drive! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By sacguy - August 10 - 1:53 pmThis car replaced a 2002 BMW 5 series. I just could not warm to the new 5 series interior/exterior. I never owned a MBZ, but this car is great. Quiet, serene ride and good handling, feels very competent and secure on the road. Nice interior is dignified and well done, with a touch of sportiness with the Appearance pkg. The 7 speed V6 is smooth and has plenty of power, Seats are first rate and I no longer get lower back pain on long drives, like I did in the BMW. This car is a wonderful combination of comfortable cruiser with enough road manners to make it fun to drive. I wopuld not get it without the appearannce package - makes it look so much better - in and out

BEST CAR EVER OWNED - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By RMEN - July 13 - 2:43 amI bought it with 4k miles on it. It has been a real joy driving and owing this car. Luxurious and powerful. I get a lot of compliments from people when they see the Panoramic sun roof.

Wow, nice car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By bradkurtz - July 3 - 8:20 amPicked this up as a MB certified used car and I am much impressed. On paper my wifes Acura RL should drive better, but it doesnt. This car is amazing and fun to drive when ask it to, while at the same time being ultr-lux when you want it to be. The 7 speed auto keeps the car in the highest torque zone in sport mode, and makes it feel like a much more powerful car. Great work, my first Benz, it wont be my last.

Fantastic Car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Ana - June 26 - 11:10 pmAfter owning 3 BMWs, I decided to give MB a shot. My switch was mostly driven by the fact that I needed an all wheel drive car, a feature that BMW had neglected for a while. My first Benz was a 2003 C320 W4 and I loved it. This year I decided to upgrade to an E- Class and I could not be happier. This is the first car that combines the level of cornering, torque, stability, that I loved about my BMWs, added to amazing agility and impeccable maneuvering. The luxurious quality interior is MB dignified. The sleek, but classic exterior is sure to turn heads. Although the price was steep, it was worth every penny.

Superb Car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By PGC1877 - April 14 - 6:53 pmThe power and sophistication of this diesel motor must be experienced to be believed. Why M-B does not offer this motor in more body styles is beyond me.

It Will Save Your Life! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By joe - April 7 - 3:06 amFaster than a speeding bullet. Finest ride in the world. This Mercedes truly lives up to what the Europeans say: Theres Mercedes and then theres the rest. It is safe, quiet. The diesel sounds sexier and quieter than a gas engine, and the turbo makes it faster. I pay 23 cents less a gallon than I do for BMW guzzling Z4 BMW. Buy this car, it will save your soul.

Best in 45 years - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By vl39 - February 9 - 6:20 amI have a 1998 E300 Turbodiesel and it was the best overall vehicle I have ever had until I purchased a 2006 E320 Turbodiesel. The 2006 gets 15% to 20% better mileage, and it has 20% more performance. The lighting is superior, the Nav system works well, and the ride and handling are better than any vehicle I have owned. Mileage is 37 to 40 mpg at 70mph, and 33 to 35 mpg at 75 mpg.
