The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

  After researching all the alternatives in this class of vehicle, the Sorento leaves the rest far behind. It is stylish, comfortable, the interior is attractive with amenities one expects to find only in more expensive vehicles. I am adjusting to an SUV after years of loving the cargo space in a large minivan, but the Sorento’s quality for the price is helping me overcome that quickly.

  I really love my KIA sorento.. I only have a few complaints. On a suv this loaded, I cant believe that there is no outside temp. gauge. I also think the key needs to come into the new millenium. Make the key and remote one piece. Such as the audi/VW. I am a former vw owner and i loved that key combo.. Overall I really love my sorento..Time will tell..:)

  I love my Sorento . I wanted something compact but roomy inside and still an SUV type vehicle. I drive 50 miles roundtrip everyday and the gas mileage is not so good. If you dont do a lot of driving then its a great vehicle.

  Was sold on this vehicle based on what I read from owner reviews here on Edmunds. Solid vehicle. Excellent workmanship similar to what you see in an Acura or Toyota product. You get a lot more vehicle for your money that what you would get buying from Ford, GM or other imports. Have logged over 20,000 miles no problems. Did not know till I purchased vehicle the transmission is manufactured in Japan, we all know what level of quality comes from that country. Smoothest ride of any SUV or pick up I test drove. Contrary to what the Toyota salesman told me, I think this vehicle will have a good resale value.

  FUN SUV - 2004 Kia Sorento

  I have had this SUV for 2.5 months and have loved every minute of it. I have taken it for a trip into Central Oregon and up into Washington and ofcourse in Beautiful BC. It handled beautifully. On and off the road it was great. The gas mileage is a little rough, but apart from that I love it. Only other negative is the towing capacity. I would have preferred it to be 5000 lbs as opposed to the current rated 3500lbs.

  After having two minivans over the past 7 years, I test drove and researched every midsize SUV out there....I LOVE MY SORENTO!!! The comfort is amazing...very easy and fun to drive, I love the large moon roof...the console is great...the interior is very classy and plush...stereo/cd controls at the wheel are great! People approach me and comment on what a sharp vehicle it is and ask how I like it...what do you think I tell them??? I LOVE IT!! I also feel very safe in this vehicle...it is SOLID and with front/side airbags...and 10 yr-100 mile powertrain warranty...hard to beat!! I cant wait until it snows so I can test the 4-wheel drive!!!!

  Its a GREAT Mid size SUV.. and you dont have to pay the price of a ford Explorer and it looks lik the Lexus SUV for a fraction of the cost!! My sister in law has the Lexus SUVa nd my Kia Sorento has all the same features. give a a Kia any day. When my daughter turns 16 in about 2 years I will give her the sorento and get another one...The very best deal for the $$$$

  A great SUV at a superprice. No problems at all after 10K miles. Very good ride, better then other cars that I have owned.

  Never in a million years would I have believed that I would ever own a KIA, however the Sorento has definately changed my opinion. I LOVE this vehicle! I would definately recommend the Sorento and would purchase again in the future.

  Just got my 2004 Kia today. Love it!!! Mine is black w/ the side running bars. What a fantastic ride. My partner just got a Lexus RX330 and he compares my Kia to his Lexus as a comparable vehicle.
