  • Sock Monkey! Sorento rules! - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Had a very difficult time finding an EX AWD with V6 and Luxury package (navigation) with Premium pack 2 (Sunroof). But finally after 3 weeks dealer located and got us our beautiful Black Cherry Sorento. Trading from a 2007 Mazda CX-9 with all the trimmings. Find the Kia a better value than all other SUVs in this class. Heated leather, Voice/touch screen navigation, Bluetooth, Ipod, 11 speaker 550w Infinity sound system, rear seat sunroof, Sirius/xm radio, rear camera with backup sensors, interior mood lighting, dual climate control. All in a fun, fresh new style. Drove 600 miles through VT mountains and averaged 22.3 mpg.

  • Very good car - 2011 Kia Sorento

I bought the car just two weeks ago. My only complaint is the fuel economy. It is 19 MPG: mixed city/highway driving which is lower than the advertised. Otherwise, this is a very good car. This is my first crossover/SUV type of vehicle and I love it. The ride is quiet and comfortable. The performance is great with the V6 engine. I synced my iPhone immediately and now I can play all my music through the speakers and make all my calls with voice activated commands. The interior design is simple but stylish and sleek. The car feels very spacious. Very comfortable driver seat. Overall, after two weeks of daily driving, I really like this car.

  • First Kia - very impressed - 2011 Kia Sorento

We are Hyundai people and this is our first Kia product. Needed something with room for camping and great gas mileage. I drive 800 miles per week for my job. During the first 3,000 miles this Sorento was getting between 23-24 mpg. Im now at 9,000 miles and getting 27-28 mpg. The ride felt a little stiff at first but is now feeling settled and Im enjoying this vehicle very much. I will review again at 20,000 miles and let you know what is happening! Go Kia!

This is an excellent value buy for those looking to seat 7 with features galore. Power with the V6 is very good. No rattles and the build quality appears to be very good; only time will tell if it lasts. The ride is fine on smooth surfaces, but rough over bumps and holes. Make sure you test drive it for more than 5 minutes. The backup camera is nice, but it looks warped on the mirror, I would suggest getting the Nav system where the camera is displayed there; much better. Having driven a fully loaded 1999 Jeep GC Limited for 11 years, the Sorento compares favorably in all areas except for ride comfort, driving visibility, and towing. Pretty good for a vehicle that cost $7k less

  • Had it for a week and LOVE it! - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

I just picked up my SX last week at Findlay Kia in Las Vegas. The dealership experience was STELLAR! As for the Sorento, I am so glad I was delayed in my purchase, almost bought an EX limited V6 and am thrilled with the upgrades of the SX. So far, I love the mood lighting, the NAV system, and the smoother ride (compared to the EX). I also like that this trim level does NOT have the plastic bumpers like the EX and LX, its a little beefier in its appearance. I upsized from a RAV4 so the gas mileage isnt as good but its much bigger, more luxurious and has 276 HP which for me means going up hill without having to turn off the a/c! Get compliments every day! More to follow. Thanks Kia!

  • 6 Months and Counting - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

I have had the Sorento for 6 months and about 9000 miles and most all is well. The DVD player and back-up camera sometimes has given us issues and the Navigation System is complex, but I still grade the vehicle out very high. I am 62"/275 and I am very comfortable when driving. The Sorento has great gas mileage (hwy 24+/city 18+). We have 4 kids (11,9,5,3) and they have plenty of room. When buying it came down to the Sorento and the Traverse and though the Traverse has a larger cargo area when the third row is in use the Traverses fuel economy was lower and price was higher. I will post more results in the future.

  • Cant say enough on how far Kias come! - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Just bought my 2011 Sorento after almost 3 weeks of dealers trying to locate exactly what i wanted. (dark cherry with black interior). Absolutely love the styling and performance of the V6 engine. Quick to get up to speed and fun to drive! Go for the limited package. Its worth the extra if you ask me. Lots of fun and cool things to use! The navigation is excellent and have had no problem with the bluetooth as reported by other users. Did find that the volume control has a lot to do with the problems reported. The suspension is VERY stiff and hoping it does break in as Im reading other owners have had this problem as well. I was told to check the tire pressure!

  • Outstanding, Made in USA ~ Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento

Weve had five Kias in my family and our new 2011 is the latest. Nothing compares to the value and quality of this vehicle. The standard ABS, Stability and Traction control, the six speed A/T and the power of the 175 HP 4cyl engine, make it an even a better value! The standard roadside assistance (5yr/60k) make it a great choice for my wife to drive...

  • A Real Honda Pilot Beater - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

We recently purchased a new 2011 Kia Sorento EX with V6 and leather, navi, panoramic sunroof, etc. I did a good deal of research and test drove a Santa Fe, a CRV, a Pilot, a Murano and a Ford Escape. The Sorento offered more value/features for a lower price than any of the vehicles I seriously considered. In the few weeks we have owned the vehicle, it has proven to be great. We are very happy with it. We have owned 6 Honda Accords (we still have one) so I was disposed at the outset to buy a Honda product. Kia simply offered more features, better warranty and a good design (from my subjective perspective)at a lower price.

  • Love my Kia Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

I have owned SUVs for nearly 20 years; my last was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which had nice amenities. Though my Sorento lacks some of those things, it makes up for it with the back-up camera and the remote start. Two very nice features. My Sorento is awesome; the interior is nice, it rides well and is beautiful. It gets far better gas mileage than my Jeep. The dealership, Carolina Kia, was absolutely the best to deal with in the triad. I would buy another Kia, but only from them. Whenever I am asked about my Sorento; I say I love it!
