Overview & Reviews
Minor upgrades are in store for the Sedona in its second year on the market. On the outside, buyers will find new taillights, and in the cabin, you'll note a new audio faceplate and a remote fuel-door release. The LX model gets a CD player, while the EX now comes with two keyless remotes, as well as additional leather on the armrests and lower portions of the seats. A trailer hitch is now available for all Sedonas.
- Excellent value, lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, good crash test scores, lengthy warranty coverage.
- Hefty curb weight, below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

I Like This Van! - 2003 Kia Sedona
By mrs_mac - January 18 - 5:46 amWe bought our 2003 Kia Sedona last year. The previous owners (original owners) hardly drove it. The van only had 75K miles on it. We have put on 26K in one year! The car has been great for us. Its been all over the place because my husband travels a lot for work. It gets good highway gas mileage. We live in a rural area so it isnt so great for going from town to town. We havent had any major issues at all. We are taking it in for general maintenance expected at 100K. Plugs, wires, etc. because it is running rough, but with the way we drive thats to be expected. I love the V6 - it really goes! I love this mini-van!

happy at the anniversary - 2003 Kia Sedona
By bepeace - December 12 - 2:00 amwe have had our Sedona now for 12 months...while many relatives looked at us cross eyed when we told them we bought a Kia, we decided (based on the price) to take a chance...it was a good call...we have only had one problem (the front cup holder) other than that it has been entirely reliable, easy to drive, very functional!!! we have the scaled down LX (no leather, no CD, etc) but it was money well saved...the dealer required maintenance has also been economical, fast, and friendly...no complaints thus far...if you need to seat a car pool and dont want to have to pay through the nose to do it, this van is a great choice!

My Sedona - 2003 Kia Sedona
By Orlando Casados - October 20 - 10:00 amI find my KIA a little heavy to drive and the turning radius too wide other than that I enjoy driving the vehicle, Its more than I expected, the Koreans did a good job. Id buy another. It is not a Oddessy But it is about $14,000 cheaper. GREAT vehicle

honeymoon over? - 2003 Kia Sedona
By first kia - July 20 - 10:00 amHave had new since Nov 2003, now has 8200 miles. AC was not cooling well this summer(No other problems). They find low freon and no leaks, they assume low from manufacturer. Now hearing strange noises under the hood as driving down the road after this servicing: high pitched continuous noise, sort of like a vacuum noise, and then this random, short-lived humming-like sound that might be associated with the AC. I hope this is not the beginning of problem(s). Needless to say this will be re-evaluated soon.

Best Van For The Money - 2003 Kia Sedona
By bonnie - January 4 - 2:00 amIts everything the research says. It lacks a few of the gadgets that the more upmarket minivans have, but it has everything you truly need. The engine is remarkably smooth, the ride very good, the build quality much nicer than expected. And you simply cannot top the warranty! I dont know why anyone would buy anything else.

Had my troubles - 2003 Kia Sedona
By Can not complain too - December 13 - 6:50 pmI bought my Kia used and immediately, (I do mean immediately) I had catalytic converter issues. Dealer fixed it. I then experienced the "check engine" light coming on when it had rained torrentially. Since this little mystery, I have had NO problems with my van. I do heartily recommend buying an extended warranty. I do not love this van but it does get me to work and hauls my dogs.

LOVE my new van....BUT...... - 2003 Kia Sedona
By r2pnknhds - August 13 - 10:00 amThis is our first van. I researched and researched before purchasing. I absolutely LOVE IT and you cant beat it for the price and warranty. I couldnt imagine buying the "Brand Name" vans and paying $30k+ for the stuff I have in my sedona. We just bought it a week ago, at 655 miles the engine light is on! NOT HAPPY! Have an appt for service already...never thought Id be in this position.
