very happy - 2002 Kia Sedona
By mozoma - August 11 - 10:00 amOnce we test drove the Kia we were hooked. The power is very sufficient and the fit and finish feels high quality. The size is very comfortable, with an extraordinary amount of legroom throughout. The standard feature list is wonderful (EX)especially for the price tag, amazing. I saved so much money by choosing the Kia that I got an aftermarket video system installed. The only hesitation we had was the fact that it was a Kia. We worried about the quality, but the great warranty was enough to offset those fears. Do I have any pride of ownership dilemmas with my Kia? Nope. I feel very proud of my smart purchase.

Surprise, surprise! - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Jochabar - June 28 - 10:00 amI looked at all the vans on the market before deciding on a Kia. Never thought I would buy a Kia but was impressed by the overall value and quality of this van. Since we bought the van I have not changed my impression a bit. The van rides great and looks good too (for a van). The interior features and quality are outstanding. Comfortable and functional, this van is hard to beat.

Nice minivan! - 2002 Kia Sedona
By RoboScar - June 17 - 2:00 amI bought my Kia Sedona in November 2001. I did have one problem about two weeks later when the moon roof decided to open on its own. I took it back to a Kia dealership and it was repaired quickly and Ive had no other problems. Oh, the dealer who sold me the Sedona said it had anti-lock brakes and when I got mine home, it was brand new, including the wrapping paper, I found out this EX version did not have anti- lock brakes. Grrr. But, I am still happy with my Kia Sedona.

minor things but a GREAT buy! - 2002 Kia Sedona
By jase - April 30 - 2:00 amHi, Compared to other models, we saved close to $5,000 with $1,000 rebate. The main reasons that we bought Kia Sedona are the followings: Safety (5 stars!), price, and Warranty 10 year/100,00 miles! You just cant beat that. Now the test, my wife is the main driver for the van, and she just LOVES it. Now the minor negatives. Everything was ok until after 3 months there was rust right above the license plate holder. The rust was dripping down from where the bolts were. I think it was coming from the non-stainless bolts. Another thing is the dome light. The light doesnt come on when the wether is cold.

Gas mileage could be better, but people must understand the box-frame, which will be there to save your lives if you need it - not ound elsewhere & accounts for the weight. Great ride, got everything save for leather & spoiler. $22K even. Pay $25K+ for Honda/Toyota/Ford? Why? More stylish in biased opinion than all others cept for maybe the Grand Caravan (at $30K+). Nice wheels. Super body styling. Nice dark privacy glass. Big seats - easy removal. Obscene warranty! GREAT roadside service used once - I missed that one of the boys left the light on and the battery drained.

Love It! - 2002 Kia Sedona
By dirksm - March 12 - 10:00 amThe Sedona is a joy to drive. The first weekend I drove it, I got a speeding ticket -- my first one in ten years. Drove from St.Louis to Florida last summer and the cruise control had no problem maintaining speed over the mountains. The windshield cracked due to the heat and it took awhile to get a new windshield installed (it was back ordered). However, the service department was great when the parts actually came in. The Sedona does have many many blind spots. We had to remove the headrests in the back to be able to see out of the back window.

I like it - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Kia owner - February 23 - 2:00 amWe bought our Kia brand new in May 2002 (EX model with leather, moonroof, rear spoiler, the works). The price was excellent!! The Van runs great and weve had very few problems which only includes the check engine light coming on twice in 2 years. But it was for very minor problems. We also recently bought another one (used 2002 LX). I love that one too! The LX is mine and the EX belongs to my husband. The Sedona is just a great value.

Service Stinks - 2002 Kia Sedona
By David Louis2 - January 5 - 2:00 amAfter 30,000 mile service by dealer Transmission began to slip on second shift after making a left hand turn. Dealer stated it is normal for transmission to slip when aceleriting after making a left turn that it is serching for a gear.( BS ) Dealer was suposed to drain radiator and flush,then fill with new antifreez. after ariving home I checked under hood and radiator cap had never been removed,still had dust and dirt on cap with no signs of ever being removed. Was told tey drained radiator, and flushed and refilled through the reserve tank. MORE BS. I love the vehicle but hope I can find a dealer who will listen to me and fix my problems.
