I love driving my new Jeep Commander. Its traction in the rain has been awesome. I havent tried it in the snow yet. Im so happy with the features, design and the roominess for my whole family to ride in it.

  • This thing can Tow! - 2006 Jeep Commander

I was on my way home from a wedding on 07/08/06. About 10 miles from town (Gillette, WY), there was a 23 foot motor home that had run out of gas along side I-90 that was towing a full size, extended cab Chevy truck on a vehicle dolly. I didnt have enough room for a passenger and needed to get home. I hooked up a tow rope and hauled the motor home and truck to town. I didnt drive any faster than 40mph for safety reasons. I pulled up to the gas station towing that 23 foot camper and full size Chevy truck. I unhooked the tow rope. The guy shook my hand and offered to give me some money for my troubles. I told him that all I wanted was a hand shake and a Christmas card.

Unbelievably fast! Love the Hemi. Well built. Awesome interior. 4x4 will go anywhere. Kids love it. Stadium seating nice feature. Hauls just as much as my Suburban. Sound system, navigation and back up camera are the bomb. If you never owned a Jeep this is the one that you must buy if you need to move the family around (in a hurry - if need be). Did I mention the Hemi! Oh, man...it moves!

I looked at everything. Drove everything, after about 6 months of looking I finally went for the Commander and have no regrets. It is awesome in the snow. The traction control going up and down slick roads works great!

I Love it! I have two little girls and they love it too. We live in Ohio so the snow is not scary any more. I hope they have these still in ten years when my 6 year old starts to drive. It definitely makes you feels safe and QUEEN of the ROAD!

  • The Good, Bad and Hard to Deal With - 2006 Jeep Commander

During our first month of ownership we drove our Commander across the country. We drove from Washington, DC to Yellowstone Park. The Commander gave us a great ride with poor gas milage even on the highway and the gas tank is too small for the Jeep. You cant get 300 miles out of the small tank. We averaged over 8 hours a day driving time and didnt feel the fatiuge that we have with other cars on this typa of trip. Over all we like the Commander and that is why we purchsed a second one.

Easy to drive. Has every amenity. It is really hard to believe that the car is as big as it is. The interior is also beautifully appointed. We put it up against SUVs from Volvo (V90), BMW (X5), Lexus and Mercedes and it was clearly the winner for the money.

  • Great styling and fun to drive! - 2006 Jeep Commander

We love this vehicle so far. Purchased it a few weeks ago. The styling is really sharp, it drives well, is comfortable and the Jeep we purchased has too many features to list. Some include the hemi, 3 sunroofs, Sirius, heated seats, leather, nav,...honestly I could go on for a long time. It has more available features than any other suv we test drove All and all, its a great strong Jeep that my husband and I both enjoy.

  • Its my 9th Jeep - 2006 Jeep Commander
    By -

After owning many vehicles since I started driving in 1960 I have found a real comfortable and fun vehicle. I have made two trips to South Carolina and have enjoyed the over the road trips and ability to go off road when I needed it. I look forward to this winter and driving in the snow as we are going north for a vacation in January.
