I love the way this vehicle drives and the roominess of the interior. The engine is quiet as well as little road noise. Off-road the Commander is just that -- commanding. It is a very capable off-road vehicle and it performed better than I would have expected. Whether the Commander is for work, play or comfort this vehicle has it all and I love it.

I like the SUV experience and this is a luxury liner for the SUV. Handling is impressive. The Commanders style and class cant be compared to anything less expensive than the Land Rover and compared to the Land Rover the Commanders ride and the driving experience is much better. Although the limited cargo space has been bothersome from time to time, I wouldnt want the vehicles length extended so the trade-off is okay. The stereo display unit could be improved. I should have purchased a 4.7 instead of the 5.7 if Hemi is available with 4.7.

This Jeep is awesome. It drives and handles like a luxury car, and not a truck. I love the stares I get when people watch me drive by. Jeep has truly outdone themselves with this hip new stylish SUV hybrid Jeep. My only concern is the gas mileage or lack thereof. I average 15 mpg back and forth to work, but dang. Did I say this truck is awesome?

Love the vehicle. Great bang for the buck. Only problem since purchase is dashboards exterior temperature gauge faulty and has been since purchase June 06. Dealers excuse is faulty software problem and waiting for Chrysler to correct. Lame excuse if you ask me since this vehicle has been in production for over a year now. Also dissatisfied with exterior room when 3rd row seats are folded down. They do not recess into the body but rather take up valuable vertical space. Would rather have not had the 3rd row but unfortunately it is mandatory; they go with the vehicle rather than being an option as they should have been for us who never will use them.

  • Wouldnt sell for $1million! - 2006 Jeep Commander

I have wanted this car for 2 yrs and, two days after buying, rear ended another car. I feel confident in saying that I feel, if we were still driving my tiny cobalt, my daughter and i would have had several injuries. The gas mileage isnt beautiful, but the peace of mind knowing I am in a safe car outweighs this. The interior and exterior design are awesome. Even when this commander plays out on me, I will be shopping for another!

This is my very first Jeep as well as my very first American made vehicle. I have to say I am a convert and a Jeep lover at this point. I just bought the Commander after test driving every other SUV out there. None of them compared to the Commander when it comes to a luxurious interior, distinctive exterior, and a reasonable price! Jeep has a winner with this one in my book. Not many on the road yet but that should change quickly when consumers get a look at this top of the line SUV!

I love this car. Everything about it, from the boxy outside, to the spacious and almost luxuriously rugged inside. It is great. Dependable, awesome!

We have had 7 grand Cherokees and this vehicle is even better. We live at nearly 10,000 feet and find the Quadratrack ll to have excellent traction and the 5.7 hemi to have all the necessary power for the mountains we have to climb. We tow this behind our motor home and it makes a trouble free tow vehicle with no modifications necessary to tow. We really like the gps system and the theater seating with the dvd player.

  • Love the return of the boxier Jeep style - 2006 Jeep Commander

This vehicle has been fun to drive around town and was very comfortable on a 600+ mile trip we took within the first 3 months of ownership. It rides well, corners remarkably well and has ample interior room. It holds 5 adults very comfortably and can accommodate 2 additional kids in the 3rd row. The V8 engine provides plenty of acceleration power.
