The S-Type gets minor styling revisions in the form of smaller taillights, a tighter-looking deck lid and a restyled front fascia. New exterior panels have tighter fits, while the hood is now made of aluminum. Interior upgrades include new Bronze Madrona trim, a revised instrument panel and an optional aluminum trim package. Eight-cylinder models get a new VDP package that adds premium heated leather seats, burled walnut trim and unique 17-inch alloy wheels.

  I have owned my S type R for quite some time now and I have to say its a pleasure to drive. The looks alone make it stand out from the masses but the performance is sensational. Jaguars of old have had some bad press, Im here to say thats all changed. What other performance sedan can you buy used with a 400 hp engine for under $40k? These cars are classics in waiting and represent fantastic bang for your buck.

  My platinum S type is a dream car. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The interior is beautiful and functional.The 3.0 engine has plenty power and is very responsive and nimble. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this car. I especially like the adoring comments and looks I get from everyone.

  I am amazed that Edmunds has such poor reviews for this car when they did not even test drive it. I would assume since this is the case with the test drive it is going off its older reviews and what the manufacturer says it changed. I love this car, never had a problem with it. I have owned several Jags throughout the years and this car stands out in ride and performance. I am also interested in the misinformation about Ford owning Jag for the XF, Ford no longer controls Jag or Land Rover that was out in 2008. I would say anyone wanting a Stype should buy one no older then 2005 but of course that is what i would say with any car. Make sure its been well maintained and keep it up.

  This car is very fast. I expected the ride to be very firm, but I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it rides and handles. Jaguar has done an excellent job. The car is stylish, yet when you put your foot into it... wow.

  This was the best performance/luxury car Ive driven. I didnt want anything to harsh, and the R gave the best luxury / performance tradeoff. Highly recommended

  This is the best car I have ever owned,including 500 series M-B, 700 series BMW, Lexus, as well as Jag XJ. Great balance of everything I was looking for. Love the look, performance, handling and ride. The retro styling is perfect.

  I recently purchased this vehicle in July and I have been in heaven ever since. I just love this car so much that I look for reasons to drive. Everything is so perfect and the car screams luxury and british carm. People have complained about the reliability of Jaguar and I think that they are wrong. This car feels safe and reliable and is powerful.

  I love this car. I have only had it for three weeks and its so much fun to drive I cant stay out of it. I find excuses to drive somewhere/anywhere. Best looking car on the road and the performance is outstanding. Almost perfect blend of luxury and performance. I picked this car over MB, BMW, Lexus, Audi, and all the Infinitis. I made the right choice.
