The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Forward midship engine placement results in a nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution. 100% RWD with blessed over steer until slip is detected, then up to 50/50 AWD keeps the car on track even in snow and heavy downpours. The efficient FM 3.5 V6 engine has been a dream for the price point - why spend $15K+ more for a Euro badge and more maintenance costs? Another happy owner - 2005 Infiniti G35
By kevinms99 - July 12 - 8:40 amIve had the G35x since a few weeks prior to Thanksgiving. I came from a Pontiac Trans Am, so Im slowly moving toward more "reasonable" cars. The ride of the car is quite smooth. It is quiet when it is supposed to be and loud when I want it to be. I find the styling to be smooth and a bit understated (quite a difference from my previous car). Ive had no problems at all with the car, and I hope to continue being a happy owner.

Speedy - 2005 Infiniti G35
By My Fist Sports Car - July 9 - 4:03 amI got this car and it was so fun to drive that i could not get out of it. People kept saying that the car smelled good after 4 months. Love the AWD cuz it gets you out of everythings no matter how high the snow is. Exhaust note is very nice but not too annoying. Been back at dealer twice for noises but not fixed due to window bolts not tight and brake tune up.

great car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By bogin - July 4 - 10:33 pmLeased the car up in early March, just turned 3k miles on it. Have had no problems. Its wicked fast and corners like it was on rails. Gets 19-20 MPG around town, managed 28 on a recent road trip cruising at 70-75 on the interstate. Stated out looking at the G35X but after driving the coupe my wife wanted no part of having a sedan. The back seat is very comfortable but a litte short on head room. It is usable for two adults for hour long trips. Kids (read grandkids) fit very well for longer road trips. It turns heads wherever we go. The VSC works well to keep the back end in place and when turned off allows you to steer with the your right foot. Great car!

Ive gotten alot of comments on my new G, besides constantly reminding myself what a great purchase I made! The G is a little slighted on gas mileage, but you have a 3.5 under the hood that stands at attention waiting for you to step on the gas! Very powerful car, not real comfy inside, but appointed nicely for the driver and the locations of the controls. Its absolutely the best car Ive owned! And Im always excited to hop in and drive! Never a dull moment!

The 4WD handles nimbly with terrific acceleration, with the car going exactly where you want it to go. Steering and braking are sure and precise. Its a blast to drive! But the sports performance does not compromise the 4 door luxury comfort. Head and leg room are better than other cars in this class, and cargo room is much better than others. With the Premium package, the full complement of luxury features is at your finger tips, from keyless entry and starting, to heated seats, dual thermostat, to reclining rear seats. And, all this value for a price that cant be beat.

Great enthusiasts car! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Cliff - May 19 - 2:40 amI purchased this G35 4 DR 6M sedan privately in 2006. I had been watching the reviews through the magazines and was really impressed with the style, quality and performance for the money. When I drove the car in a road test, I was sold. It had 24,000 km. I have now driven it for over 3 years and still love every time I sit in the seat. It now shows 82,000 km on the clock and I have not had any significant issues to deal with. Sure the mileage isnt great, but it didnt buy it for its economy; but more for its performance and agility. Turn off the VDC (vehicle dynamic control) and you can turn this docile elite sedan into an adrenaline rush of acceleration. I love it as do passengers.

Excellent Car - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Joy - May 6 - 2:23 amI have ownwed Lexus, Porshe, Mercedes, and now Infiniti. I love everything about this car. Its not as quiet as the Lexus, but no car is. Lexus is still my very favorite. But the G35 tops the Mercedes and Porshe by far. We had nothing but problems with Mercedes and Porsche, would never buy another one. I have had my G35 AWD for just about a year. Its roomy yet sporty. A good inbetween for a sports car and sedan mix. The back seat is very comfortable too. Lexus or Infiniti are the way to go.

The Head Turner - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Greg M - March 22 - 9:33 pmGreat car. Fun to drive. I bought the Diamond ext/ black int. w/sport sup., wing. It looks like a rocket., puts the 350z style to shame. When you drive down the road, heads turn and people are twisting their necks to get a second look. I have been waiting to enter streets and seen wives telling their husbands " thats it, thats the car we need to get." This car is fun, fun, fun to drive. If you want a car thats turns heads this is the one - heck with those BMWs and the 350z ( looks like somebody to a chainsaw and cut off the rear 2feet). If you want style and great features and a car thats fun to drive.....GO G. G35 You will not be sorry.
