This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

  • Loads of Fun - 2005 Infiniti G35

I really enjoy driving this car. Being in sales and on the road alot the Sirius radio is a god send. The fast pick up getting on and off highways is great. As far as styling this car is a looker this is a sexy car even with 4 doors.

  • Great Car !!! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I have had Lexus, MB & BMW sports cars in the last 8 years. Forget about price, but this car blows them all away by far. Handling, quickness & styling for under $40K, WHAT A STEAL. I will buy another one when I wear this one out, which I should in about 10 years !!!

I just picked up one of these with the sports package, being a Toyota and Lexus owner for years I wanted a new drive experience, These G35s perform well, very fast and just a great feeling of quality, Bose system sounds great.

  • Best Car I ever Leased - 2005 Infiniti G35

The excellent Motor Trend and Car & Driver reviews were accurate. I purchased a fully optioned G35 Coupe with Sport Tuned Suspension etc. I could have purchased a BMW 330i for a little bit more expense but am confident that I have the better value, style and performance (i.e. better braking figures and acceleration etc.)

  • Repairs very expensive - 2005 Infiniti G35
    By -

I purchased the car new 7 years ago with the optional 7 year/100,000 warranty. Ive had all service done at my Infinity dealership and total repairs not covered under warranty to date are $9300. My wife purchased the Acura TL the same day 7 years ago with the 7 year/100,000 warranty. All her service was done at the Acura dealership and total repairs to date are $3600. I love driving the Infinity----I dont care for the Acura, but the repairs are just expensive to her car. Thats really my only complaint about the car. Both extended warranties just expired last week, and both cars have around 80,000 miles. I probably will purchase another Infinity when this car dies.

  • Best value for your money - 2005 Infiniti G35

After driving a G35, RX8 and a 3 series, i found that the value for my money was the G35 coupe 6mt. The design surpasses the others, the performance upstages the beemer and rx8, and the handling is the perfect compromise between sport and luxury. Also, the dealership experience far exceeds that of other dealers that i visited.

  • I made a great choice - 2005 Infiniti G35

After driving a Buick Park Avenue for 15 years I decided to down size and step up. Boy did I make the right decision. I enjoy my G35X more and more each day. The only complaint is the milage but I can overcome that because of the luxury of the ride. The amenities are unbelievable. I have the navigation system and the sirius radio. Both are great and I find I use the nav system constantly.I have never been happier with a car.

  • Oh, I love this car. - 2005 Infiniti G35

So Id had three Accords in a row (99, 01, 03), and wanted something sportier this time. I test-drove the BMW 330i and this, and found them pretty comparable, except for a) the price, and b) the AWD capabilities on the G35x, which are more sophisticated than those on the (not yet released) 330xi. Ive put 300 miles on this car in the last five days, and I absolutely love it. It handles like a dream, it has power to spare, its full of great luxury touches, and is just generally a superb car. Im actually thinking I might keep this one longer than two years. And thanks to the AWD, it should manage to handle better than the Accord in the winter, too.

  • Love my G35 - 2005 Infiniti G35

My G35 is an awesome car. I compared the Acura TL, BMW 3, and the Lexus 330. THe G rocks. It is fast, and fun to drive. I highly recommend it.

  • Poor reliability after two years - 2005 Infiniti G35
    By -

We have had way too many service problems with our G35 to be able to give it a positive review. It has had problems with the brakes, it had an electrical system problem, and there have been other issues which have required taking it to the dealer more often than should be the case for a two year old vehicle.
