  • Looks and Feels Like Its "High-End" - 2005 Hyundai XG350

I drove the XG-350 (rental) on several business trips to the Washington DC area. I actually thought I was getting into a blend of Jaguar and Lincoln the first time I saw it. It wasnt until I was out of the dark parking garage that I realized my "up-grade" was a XG-350. After that I made it a point to drive them when I could. Its solid, smooth, and quiet at and above interstate speed limits. Truth is it will fly at relatively moderate RPM. At speed limit (65-70 mph) I get 32-33 MPH. Above speed limit 21-22 MPH is the norm. Its quietness will deceive you. Dont be surprised when you think you are doing 70 and its 85 or above. Love this car. Its a winner in all categories.

Having owned Hondas and Toyotas, we did alot of research prior to buying. Hyundai did not let us down - quality is excellent and you wont find a better buy out there.

I purchased my car in January 2003, mainly due to the appearance and the how quite it was when driving down the road. Also, because of the fantastic warranties I knew I could not go wrong. Since then, it has been the best car I have ever owned. It is my 15th car that I have owned in my life. The only thing that I have a problem with is the type of material that the car is made of on the outside. It is really soft and can dent easily. Other than that it is great. Now going on two years old, it is just as quiet as it was the first day I purchased it. The performance is great. I have not had a problem with it at all. It will be two years old on January 19, 2005.

Lightly driven and well-maintained, this car has been in the shop for major mechanical problems four times. At around 4000 miles, the entire CAM had to be replaced. The car was then returned to the shop only a few dayas later because of a major oil leak caused by a faulty gasket. This car has been a nightmare! The wrecker that picked it up on its first trip to the shop that he has picked up many XG350s. Looks like Hyundai threw up an airball when they made this one! Stay away!!!

After retiring I decided to get a car with many amenities, good performance, attractive and lower cost. I selected the Hyundai XG350L and I am most satisfied. After driving a Japanese luxury car for 10 years, I was very reluctant. Certainly there are some trade offs but nothing like I was led to believe or expected. I am now traveling with the savings.

We bought the XG350L when we were looking to replace a fully loaded 1999 Chrysler LHS. Would have loved the new 300C but the price was prohibitive. The XG350L had all of the options our LHS had (and more) and was under $22,000. What a deal!

I just bought a xg350L, 2005. Yes I bought it used, when I first went and took it for a test drive it acted like it was missing. Eventually the check engine light came on, the dealer had it taken into their shop, ran the computer on it. filled it with premium gas and the problem stopped. no more surging... so that means this car wont run with ordinary gas, it needs plus or premium... no problem there. we have driven it for 520 miles now, excellent ride, comfort and dependable. I love this car

I agree with the inconsistency of the transmission, and have had some difficulties with it. With the 10 year, 100,000 mile guarantee, Im not worried. I had an XG 300, which required a new transmission. It was replace, and didnt cost me anything. The price of the car for the luxury you get is well worth it.
