i fell in love with my car! But it has turned into the biggest lemon EVER everything goes wrong with it, and i havent even had it a year it is fun to drive and attracts a lot of attention but i havent had it a week without it breaking down! i was promised a loaner car for covered repairs and never get one! the dealership treats me as if i am doing something wrong! i wouldnt recommend this car, unless its just to look at!

  • DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Its a good looking car, performance isnt bad...when the car works and isnt in the damn shop! This car has caused me nothing but problems since I got it. A door handle came off and I barely touched it, the transmission and flywheel had to be replaced at around 75,000 miles. The car is a manual transmission, and during the winter months the parking brake DOES NOT WORK! The brake line freezes and is worthless. Dealership manages to wiggle themselves out of expensive repairs so I have to pay every dollar. Ive easily spent $4,000 - $5,000 to keep this car on the road.

  • Junk! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

My Tiburon was a 2003 GT (2.7L V6) with the 6 speed manual transmission. The dual mass flywheel is a major design flaw that Hyundai refuses to acknowledge. I drove my car for four years and 40K miles and replaced the clutch and flywheel twice. Hyundai would not warranty because they consider this repair to be related to abuse. Ive driven cars with manual transmissions my whole life without ever having a problem! Im currently a part of the class action lawsuit against Hyundai for this issue. The plastic levers that let the seats fold forward were also constantly breaking. The lock actuators, outside and inside door handles, and window motors had to be replaced as well.

  • Worst car Ive ever owned - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I bought this car brand new with all the options, high spoiler etc. I took extremely good care of the car and really babied it. I loved the look of this car, but had a lot of trouble with the electric windows. I tried to lemon law the car on two occasions. Even the clutch had to be replaced at 12,000 miles. Im currently in a class action law suit over the issue. You couldnt pay me enough to own another Hyundai.

  • To Many Problems - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Since I have purchased this vehicle brand new two years ago, I have had many problems that are not covered by the warranty. It is on its third clutch and flywheel in only 37,000 miles and the first two were factory. I had a racing clutch and flywheel put in because it was cheaper and better quality than hyundai engineering. Now my starter is out and they are blaming it on my flywheel so they wont cover it by the warranty. I like how the care looks, and drives when it works. I hate how much maintenance i have had to it just to keep it running. IT is not worth it, the car looks nice but unless you want to waste a lot of money dont get the 6 speed version.

  • Is it just my car that has gone bad? - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

First when i got it, it was great. but as time goes on it began. Had my Sunroof Fixed 4 times in 1 year (same problem occuring over and over again). also my clutch had to be replaced when the car had less than 19000 miles. Believe me I dont drive like maniac. one more thing, almost 2 year into my Tiburon, my car lock system broke, so had to get it repaired. My 2 years of driving Hyundai, I had gone to dearlership for service more than 7 times. I didnt buy the brand new car to get it serviced every 3 month...Other than that it was fun to drive.

Had to replace the clutch 3 times already and only have 45k miles on it. Warrenty did not cover the second two after a year or 15 thousand miles because hyundai knows how terrible the clutch is in their vehicle. Their great warrenty covers everything but the clutch after a year. Already a major lawsuit being raised up against hyundai in the United States for the clutch in thousands of owners cars.
