Excellent car for the money - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Anido - June 10 - 10:00 amI looked at everything in this segment, drove them all, and no other car came close to the quality of this car. The others (sentra, lancer, carolla, civic) just felt cheap inside. This car has a fit and finish that the others cant touch. I have not had a single problem with my car since I bought it a year ago. I drive it every day, and have put 20,000 miles on it, and it still runs like new.

Great car to drive - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By o0O0oecho0O0o - May 14 - 2:00 amI bought my Tiburon eleven months ago and have already put 19000 miles on it. Its a lot of fun to drive, and I havent have any mechanical problems. There was a recall on the rear brake tubing but the newly produced ones havent been affected. The car is perfect for someone on the shorter side, like myself, but if youre over 510" its probably not a good idea. My 6 boyfriend has trouble seeing under the headliner, and there is not a lot of head room, or leg space on the passenger side. Overall, if you want a small car with lots of style and great reliability, the tiburon is a great choice.

I love my Tiburon - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Kristy H. - April 19 - 2:00 amI absolutly love my little shark! Infact it seems like everyone who sees it does. A week after buying mine, a friend of mine bought one in a different colour, and now my best friend is looking to buy one. This car is wonderful. I love it. I would enourage anyone who is looking for a sports coupe to buy a tiburon (just not in mystic teal K? just playing). Mine is teal.

Fun to drive and a great ride for the px - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Gonzo - April 5 - 4:26 pmIve read the other reviews and I must have a different take on some folks. I bought mine after comparing it to the Miata, Eclipse and Elantra and I actually liked the ride better. In my opinion it shifts better than the Eclipses around the same year and has a lot better torque in the low range. I found road noise or hard riding does seem to be dependant a lot on your tires. At higher presser it was a rougher ride (but better stability) but when I went down a lb in each tire, wow. The clutch can be a little picky, but once you get used to its nuances you can work with it... it seems like it wants a lot of RPM in each range. Nicely smooth turning and hard to beat the looks you get!

Unreal - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By jforrest8 - March 31 - 10:00 am"Lets not go overboard here" should post "Lets not post here unless youve driven the car"... With that said. I just purchased my Blue Shark yesterday. Got the shiftronic and am blown away by the power, look, comfort, and luxury incorporated in this sports car. It is a Supra/A4/Porsche at half the price. I am very pleased. P.S. Though I dont recommend it, I just dusted my first RSX in a 300 yard sprint and he got a better jump than I did...

Solid car - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Freon - March 20 - 10:00 amYou wont get a nicer car for under $20k. Thats $2-3k less than a similarly optioned Celica or Eclipse V6. And its LOADS easier to drive than the anemic Celica GT-S which requires revving to at least 5000rpm just to get power. The gearing on the 6M is way too short. 3400rpm at 80mpg? Thats too high. That may be why the gas mileage is so poor (but you can fill with 87 octane, unlike premium only for the Eclipse V6 or either base or GTS Celica). The flywheel is a tad too heavy, but Im really nit-picking. I really like the action on the clutch and the shifter. The spacing is perfect. It really promotes fast and accurate shifting.

Faulty Design - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Michael82 - December 7 - 10:00 amThe base manual 4 cylinder Tiburon is not recommended by me. The engines idle stays very high, (around 2-3,000 RPM) and makes for a horrible shift, while wearing out the clutch. My Tiburon has 7,500 miles and the clutch is starting to shatter. I once timed how long it took for it to idle down while coasting, exceeded 30 seconds, only stopping because i came to a complete stop. Hyundai made it clear that they will not help in any way because thats how they say they designed it. I would like to have known that before i bought it!! I did drive one prior to this purchase which did NOT perform the same way. Basically Hyundai is not standing behind this vehicle!!!
