  • I love my Tuscon Limited - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Just purchased the Hyundai Tuscon and I love it. Very comfortable seats. Went to Dayton, OH and got about 26 miles per gallon. Highway noise was limited, and the ride was comfortable. Plenty of driver and passenger leg room. The controls are very easy to reach. Good pick up and go. Was able to pass with having to floor it like I did in my Saturn Vue. So far I am very pleased.

  • Great car for the money - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Ive had my Tucson for a couple weeks now and Im loving it. The fuel economy is pretty much exactly what it states in the window sticker (rare for a vehicle nowadays). I chose the Tucson for the looks and for the price and after one test drive I knew it was the car for me. Its comfortable, visibility is good, and comes with a lot of options standard that some auto makers do not include. I would definitely recommend this vehicle!

  • So Far So Good - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

We just purchased a 2011 Tucson GLS in Chai Bronze. We traded a 2008 Malibu 2LT that we loved, but the warranty was out, and Hyundai offers a great one. We also needed a little more room, which the Tucson delivers. Its not a huge suv my any means, but it gives us what we need with one four year old. The interior in the GLS (Leatherette with cloth inserts)feels more high end than the leather in the Malibu. The soft touch interior surfaces are much better than the plastic in the car. With the popular equipment package, the GLS has great options. So far our bluetooth and satellite radio are great. We are getting between 26 and 31 MPG everywhere we go with only about 2200 miles (very impressive).

  • Not as good as Advertised - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

After looking around for an all-around economical vehicle, I settled on the Tuscon. For the most part, its very nice, decent room, rides well, and has a nice base package of interior features. BUT, Im not happy with my gas mileage or some of the design flaws. Ive driven the vehicle for 7000 miles plus (mostly highway), and at best, Ive gotten 24 MPG - more typically Im getting 22-23 MPG. As MPG was one of the key reasons I purchased the vehicle, this is highly disappointing. Two other issues are bothersome. The rear wiper does not have a liquid sprayer. Also, when it rains, and the car is wet, when you open the doors, water pours into the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE.

  • 2011 Hyundai Tucson Limited - What a Mistake - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I bought this vehicle in Nov 2010. The first thing I noticed was the gas milleage that I am getting compared to the manufacturer values. It was way off. I get less than 20MPG. So OK. I can live with that. Then the car turned 2 years old then the trouble begun. You name it and it broke. CV boot, fan motor, power sunroof, ABS and just yesterday, all the warning lights on the dashboard went off at the same time. That was scary. The ABS engages even when I am just going 30KPH on a bone dry road. I thought that Hyundai had fixed their quality problems from the past but they obviously havent yet. I had owned 3 CRVs in the past. I should have bought a 4th one. This is the first AND LAST Hyundai!!!

  • buyer beware - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Im not sure if mine is the exception, but my Tuscon every once in a while has an electrical malfunction where the key gets stuck in the ignition, the blinkers fail to work, the locks wont work, and the lights wont turn off. Hyundai nor the dealership cannot figure out why this occurs. I was really looking forward to having a reliable vehicle with awd, good gas mileage, at a good value. This was my first Hyundai, and will definitely be my last. I noticed an article in inside line, where the testing manager had the same issue with the 2011 Sonata being reviewed. I wonder if this may be a Hyundai issue and not an isolated problem with just my vehicle. I definitely wouldnt recommend buying.

  • I LOVE My Tucson! - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

I just bought my 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS two days ago. I went to the dealer, not really looking to buy, just to test drive. I looked at the Tucson and the Sante Fe. Utimately, the final selling point on the Tucson was the EPA ratings. I traded my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee (which I really loved, but it got terrible gas mileage at 17.4 mpg combined) for the Tucson. The dealer was wonderful, and gave me top dollar for my Jeep. I walked away with a fully-loaded Tucson, and my monthly payment only went up by $15. So far, I have put about 150 miles on the Tucson, and it says I am getting 25.6 mpg combined. I am so happy considering gas mileage was my deciding factor.

  • 2011 Hyundia Limited 2WD - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

The Limited meets my expectations and is fun to drive and use. It is comfortable and gets very decent gas mileage. Highway driving at 65 mph with some steep hills averages 29 mpg. Country driving at 45 mph averages 32 mpg. I let the cruise handle the gas instead of my big foot.

  • Review after 1 month - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

When I made my decision, competition was between the Tucson, GMC Terrain and Chevy Equinox as these were the only small SUVs that provided the combination of things I wanted. Deciding factor for Tucson was PZEV option and overall price was a good 10K less than the others comparably equipped. Fun to drive, very nice inside and the controls are very intuitive. Ride is tight, more like German cars. Mileage has been better than expected given I drive lots of hills.

  • 22500 miles and all good except... - 2011 Hyundai TUCSON

Until the last month or so, no real complaints. Never felt it was quite as solidly built as my 98 Honda Accord EX (which my kids are now driving with no problems) but was willing to overlook as I havent bought a new car in 10 yrs and figured maybe standards have changed. However, now Im hearing a bit of rattling in the rear seat left side door that starts up anytime I get over 45 mph.
