This Year's Model Updates:

Hyundai rolls out its very first minivan with the 2007 Hyundai Entourage. The vehicle comes dressed for maximum value, with a lengthy standard features list and a low price tag.

Pros:
  • Smooth ride quality, quiet cabin with ample storage, impressive acceleration, top-notch crash test scores, outstanding build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Handling could be sharper, cramped third row, some high-end features not available, some low-grade interior materials.

  • should have painted it yellow - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

The van looks good and drives nice but dont let that fool you! The fuel economy is no were near what we were told. The brakes are a disaster and needed replacing after only 35000 km rotors and all. The idler failed after 50000 km. Had to be towed for a computer failure. the latches on the side doors fail. if you open the drivers door in the rain, you will not be able to close the gas cap door. There are problems with the wiring in the back door. there are always light on the dash that shouldnt be on , last being a problem with the air bags!! If you dont live next to the dealer ship or want to keep the van past its warranty, dont buy it!

  • Never again - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

We have an 2007 Entourage and wish we could get rid of it, the A/C clunks when you first start the engine, something a $28,000.00 new van should not do. After replacing the A/C twice, Hyundai finally said that was normal in all Entourages, so live with it, and we found that when the Rep from Hyundai in California makes a decision, thats as far as it goes. Great company policy, if I were to lose my job, they would take it back, but have a serious problem with their product and its tough! I have a 2006 KIA(sister company) Sorento with 17,000 more miles on it then the Entourage, and the KIA rides, drives and sounds better then the Hyundai. Did I mention it sounds like a tank when cold.

  • Do NOT buy or patronize this Product - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

Its not good to say that I was cheap because I just happen to get my moneys worth paying less which is 10,000 to 15,000 dollars compared to Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. We bought and wasted 31,000 dollars for this PIECE OF JUNK. After sales service is WORST. They always advertise how great their warranty is, but, its just an advertisement. Auto sliding doors are always jammed. Instrumentation panel is not reliable. Cruise control does not work properly. Sharp edge on the steering wheel.

  • Dont Buy One!!! - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

We bought this van because of what you were supposed to get for the money. The van is very nice looking inside and out, however the problems just keep getting bigger. Problems started with warning lights coming on then the A/C compressor, now its the brakes and doors.

  • Not what I bargained for - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

This car is fabulous in theory as a family vehicle. Unfortunately I am taking it in constantly because of random noises such as creaks and grinds. The fuel economy is ridiculous. COMPLETELY different than the sticker showed. My battery died after 15,0000 miles and less than 2 years old and it was impossible to find a service dept available to help me. I was sold by the price when comparing to competitors but I should have gone with something with better history for a little more money.

  • deceptive warranty - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

Until about 6 months ago, I would have said that I was very happy with my van. Now the slider doors are not closing properly (seems to be a common complaint), yet the service dept at our local dealership cannot find anything wrong. The biggest issue is the water leaking from the sunroof, dripping from the control panel(dome lights/door openers, etc. Also, water leaking from the dash when it rains, collecting water on the floor of the passenger side. There are tons of wires down there, so I cant imagine what kind of fun I have to look forward to. I am told that the warranty does not cover "leaks", I find it outrageous that Hyundai thinks that this is normal wear & tear.

  • Very Poor Reliability - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

DO NOT PURCHASE (2007 model) Problems to date 1) Power steering gasket blew (under 2 yrs old) 2) Reversing sensors are unreliable and do not work consistently.. Hyundai can not reproduce and therefore are not willing to replace under warranty (we have even sent a video of the problem to them). 3) Unable to start van.. power & battery OK.. had it towed to dealer... next day van started ok. 4) Brake calipers under sized for weight of van.. rotors wearing down fast and warping under heat. 5) Customer service a disgrace. If anybody else in Western canada has these problems with Hyundai please drop me a note.

  • Watch out if you had kids!!! - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

My boyfriend bought the van over a year ago for him and his kids. He was sold on the "safety feature" that said that any obstruction would automatically open the side door. Since then we have constantly had problems with the power doors-- if you are on any type of incline, the power doors have a great chance of not closing as well as sliding forward on their own. His 9 year old son has actually had his hand crushed in the doors (that DID NOT automatically open) when he was reaching to grab his seat belt to buckle in as the door closed. Both of his children are now terrified of the closing doors and warn their friends to not touch the doors. I am almost 30 and even I get nervous about it.

  • Wont start - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

For the first year it was great! Soon after the automatic doors would pop open a few seconds after they were closed. Then one day it would not start. It has power but will not crank. It has been in the shop 5 times for not starting and it always starts with the doors acting funny. I also have the squeaks and rattles and the engine has an odd sound when the air is running. The gas mileage is not as great as claimed. I would not care about those things if I just had a vehicle I can get in and know it will not leave me stranded waiting on a tow truck and wasting an entire day. I have started the lemon law process. I hope Hyundai does the right thing and gives me the van I thought I was purchasing.

  • Disappointed - 2007 Hyundai Entourage
    By -

After much research and test drives we chose the Entourage because of its comfort, long list of features but most of all, the safety rating for our 3 children. After only a short time we began having problems with front end knocking and vibrating. The brakes wobble, the rear end squeaks and the check enging light frequently comes on as does the air bag light. Ive lost count of the amount of times the van has been in the shop but the condition of the van is the same and getting worse. Its obvious now why there is 100k warranty. You definitely need it with this very undependable vehicle. The dealership is useless and the service department is awful.
