This Year's Model Updates:

Hyundai rolls out its very first minivan with the 2007 Hyundai Entourage. The vehicle comes dressed for maximum value, with a lengthy standard features list and a low price tag.

Pros:
  • Smooth ride quality, quiet cabin with ample storage, impressive acceleration, top-notch crash test scores, outstanding build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Handling could be sharper, cramped third row, some high-end features not available, some low-grade interior materials.

  • LEMON LEMON LEMON - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

Where to start… I don’t normally write to forums, however I feel obligated to warn people of this vehicle. LEMON LEMON LEMON I first owned a 2004 Sonata… amazing car, loved it, no problems whatsoever. So when we had our second child, I decided to invest (bad choice of words) in something larger. Test drove all the typical minivans, Dodge, Toyota, Honda but my bias of Hyundai led me to chose the Entourage. What a mistake. Here’s a list of problems since I’ve owned it: 1. Had to replace the DVD player within a couple weeks of purchase 2. Had to fix broken arm rest 3. Had to replace rotors twice and entire breaks once, not related to driving but defects 4. The key ignition had to be replaced, had to get towed for this one. Happened at a movie threatre, we had a baby sitter at home, had to get a rental for 4 days until it was fixed… they didn’t cover the rental. 5. There has been ongoing battery / wiring (unknown) issues. It is currently in the garage for a 3rd battery replacement. Approx every year the battery dies completely and won’t hold a charge anymore. Last years fix was a computer s/w upgrade… yeah right. Today they are saying it is a module recall for the side doors that they think is the problem… yeah right… and whatever happened to informing customers of recalls. I have a 2nd small car, 97 Toyota Tercel with 200,000 KM that I trust more than this vehicle. 6. I also have an ongoing headlight issue. When I break or when the gears shift, there is a noticeable dimming (1 or 2 sec) of the headlights. I think it is related to problem number 5. 7. Yes the powered side doors are great when or if they work. Someone told me when I first bought the van, having everything powered is just more to go wrong… how true. I live in Canada, any amount of snow or frost the side doors are impossible to open. This vehicle was to be our long-term family car. I wish this info was available before I bought. Avoid this vehicle or suffer the consequences. LEMON LEMON LEMON

  • Do NOT BUY a Hyundai Entourage EVER - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

We got our Entourage when it first came out cause we love hyundai cars, and needed a bigger family vehicle. We loved this vehicle until we started having major issues with it. We have already had to have the entire electrical system of the van replaced after only having it 11/2 yrs and it needs to be replaced again. Our power doors are a nightmare. They close then open right back up. When they actually do close the track keeps going even after the door is closed. When we pull on the door handles to open the doors they dont open. With in the last 9 months our van has been in the shop over 8 times, for the same things over and over again. Now i understand why you need the warranty they offer.

We paid for the extended warranty and glad that we did! Brakes started squealing within the first six months, tires did not last as long as they should have, battery died after about 50000 miles. They have had to change the air compressor, the fuel sensor, and a few other parts. We have had to get it towed twice.

  • Worst mileage...EVER..any car - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

Car drives and rides comfortably. Lots of conveniences and "goodies". But with gradual increasing noises. Dealing with Hyundai is impossible and mileage is bad beyond description. My truck Toyota 4 runner gets 5 miles more to the gallon of gas and Hyundai say mine (entourage) is behaving as designed.... Wow

  • Very Poor Reliability - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

I have owned other Hyundai products and have loved them. The 2007 Entourage van has been a nightmare. It has stalled on us several times and has had various electrical problems. Trim pcs. and hardware in general are falling off and are of poor quality. Gas mileage is terrible (13 in city and just under 20 on hwy). Ouch!!! I would strongly recommend not buying the 2007 model and get the 2008 or 2009 as I would hope Hyundai has worked out all the bad bugs from the 2007 year. Avoid at all cost the 2007! Very disappointing experience to date.

  • Spend more, go for Honda or Toyota - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

We have had nothing but problems from our 2007 entourage. It has been in the shop for 26 business days (m-f only) and 5 times (8000 mi). We have the same knocking noise others have mentioned, which it has gone up in smoke for (a/c burned out) and stranded us on the interstate w/ my 4 mo old. We have rattles/creaks etc. Poor gas mileage. The a/c is knocking again and we are claiming lemon law. Just yesterday after picking it up from being at the dealer 2 weeks, the airbag light came on. We were told they couldnt get it in until Friday (it is wed) but not to drive it b/c we wont have airbags in the event of a crash (no rentals avail). And Hyundai warranty does not guarantee a rental.

  • Not Worth the Savings - 2007 Hyundai Entourage

I bought this horrible minivan and have been dissatisfied since.,.Front end vibrates entire car..dealer had car for 1/2 the month and factory rep said "he knows the vibration that I am experiencing"...AND...I m now filing with BBB as Hyundai warranty requests but for the extra $$$ I would have spent--Would have been well worth it to SAVE me this aggrevation...I took another Entourage off the lot & test drove..The vibration existed in the new one toooo..Especially at 75-80 the steering wheel was shaking uncontrollably...Must be an engineering defect or my car was built on a Day before or after a Holiday.
