For 2002, Honda has added a glass rear window with a defroster, an improved transmission and a more powerful audio system. There are also a handful of minor changes that only '00-'01 S2000 owners would notice, such as chrome-bezel taillights, an upgraded center console, door panel net storage pockets, a new shifter knob, an aluminum-accented foot rest and silver trim interior accents. There's also a new color for 2002: Suzuka Blue.

• Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop.

• Not much low-end torque, no passenger airbag cut-off switch.

  I have owned the S2K for about a year now. I must admit, I ask myself everyday why I bought convertible as a second car. But once I get inside of the vehicle, I am absolutely thrilled that I purchased it. It has the power and the "look" of any expensive $50M convertible, but half the price. I truly recommend this vehicle for any sports car enthusiast

  The Honda S2000 is by far the most exhilarating car I have ever had the honor of experiencing (Ive driven cars such as the 300ZX, Porsche Boxster, BMW Z3, and Corvette). Not only does this car possess the handling of a true sports car, but also a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter engine pumping out an astounding 240 horses!

  Ive Had a Mustang GT and a Corvette and there is absolutely no comparison. The S is faster than the GT and almost as fast as the Vette. The handling is in a completely different class than both of these cars!!!!

  This car is soooo much fun to drive, the halogen lights are the best they light up the whole road!!! Not the most smooth ride but, who cares ITS FAST!!!!

  if you are over 6 2" this would be the only reason not to purchase this vehicle.Give Honda credit-the are putting together a 4 cylinder car that puts out approx 250hp can outperform the Audi TT-stay with the Boxter-and the z3 and Z4-all for much less$-The car takes some used to because this baby is just starting to warm up at 6to 7000 rpm where most others are fading

  as in BADASS!) I bought this car for my wife as a Christmas gift and she loves it ... the handling is excellent, great power, and best of all its a 4- cylinder.

  Honda made this car a showcase for its racing and engineering prowess, in the process creating a future classic. Plenty of other reviewers have it right: the S2000 makes few concessions in its quest to put a grin on the drivers face. The money went where its needed most: drivetrain, chassis, and suspension. I actually like the all- business interior, and the seats are terrific. Ive taken long trips with no discomfort. This ones made to be driven hard.

  When every dealer around was gouging customers I found one that sold the car at sticker price - no hassles. Performance is terrific, but the ride on city streets is almost unnacceptable and the engine make a lot of (not unpleasant) noise. But, once at speed (and if you own an S2000 youll be at speed any chance you get) the car is in its element. The ride smooths out and everything just feels right.

  Not many miles but some things obvious quickly. Door doesnt open wide enough, makes it hard to get in and out. Several rattles, something I never thought I would say about a Honda. Shift from 1st to 2nd is rough, sometimes almost impossible in the cold. If you get a bumper scratched and need to paint it, good luck, they dont go back on properly again. This is a summer, top down, short drive toy car. Used that way its a 10. Drive it every day and you may come to hate it.

  S2K is so balance 50/50, make the handling so well. It definitely so nice to drive around the coast on HWY1 along the coast in CA. The car produces one the best Horsepower/liter. Think about 240HP in a 2 liter engine. Honda is also great for the engineering on the engine as well as the reliability... As long as you take care the car, it will run forever. Dont forget the VTEC power...
