Overview & Reviews
After a complete redesign last year, the 2010 Honda Pilot stands pat except for standard two-stage heated seats on the EX-L model and integrated rear window sunshades on the Touring.
- Pleasant ride, perfect crash test scores, decently roomy third-row seat, smooth V6, clever interior storage features.
- Back-of-the-pack brakes, sluggish acceleration, unremarkable fuel economy, button-heavy center stack.

IT GOT MY ATTENTION - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Emspirit - December 4 - 12:08 pmIf you havent been inside the new Pilot, then I suggest you give it a try. This thing is in a different ballpark than the pre 2009 designed Pilot. Heres the thing with the Pilot. We looked at a ton of crossovers, we have 3 smallish kids and when youre looking for room, utility, comfort, a truck feel with a car-like drive, this is it. Take the Mazda CX-9 for example. We climbed all over it but, in the end it was a car pretending to be a utility vehicle. Same with the Ford Flex. The Pilot feels like a truck but drives like a car. When we sat in the Pilot it felt huge. We traded in our Honda Odyssey and feel at home in the Pilot. Im thrilled with it so far.

Love It! - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Raleigh, NC - December 3 - 1:30 pmThe Pilot has a great ride, smooth acceleration, and great styling inside and out. I like it better than the previous styling due to the more chiseled look that makes it feel more like a real SUV than a mini van. The sound system is great. They have tons of storage space in compartments everywhere throughout the vehicle. The ECO feature is really neat. The gas mileage is not overly impressive by the numbers, but for such a large SUV, it is pretty darn good compared to many of its competitors. Honda did a great job with this one!

Beats the Jeep! - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Gregg - November 29 - 8:00 pmIve had the Pilot for about month and so far Im satisfied with my purchase. On the plus side, smart instrumentation, room for eight, smooth cruising vehicle and good looking. On the down side, acceleration a bit sluggish, engine a tad noisy around town, the "information center" isnt the most intuitive. (cant display odometer and outside temperature simultaneously). I drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee for 10 years, but its no "Honda". The gas mileage on the Pilot is comparable and the quality build of the Honda far exceeds that of the Jeep.

2010 Pilot EX 4WD - 2010 Honda Pilot
By dblshock - November 25 - 8:26 pmThis is a large comfortable vehicle that rolls like a vault at highway speed yet is nimble in town, a joy to drive with people, amazing, very large items will fit inside with 2ond & 3rd tier seats down..as my work platform taking calls the large cockpit functions well with many storage spaces and flat areas to take notes..drive- train and suspension are Honda benchmark quality and Im really hooked on the appearance now..did the 60/2.9% finance and TMV pricing..difficult to beat over time.

2010 Pilot Touring - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Gary0554 - November 25 - 2:52 pm2010 Pilot after my first month has been impressive. Fuel economy has been average but the rugged design and handling make up for it. Steering is very good and the seats are very comfortable. The large number of options on the touring take time to learn but once you learn they are great. The navigation system is outstanding, along with the backup system. The automatic climate control system is very good.

The best SUV out there! - 2010 Honda Pilot
By chockm - November 19 - 10:04 pmIt is a solid car with quite interior and all amenities that you would find in most cars in its class. It drives very nicely. I tested every SUV in the class and the Pilot was the best. Meets all of our needs. I like the boxy look because it stands out with all of the curvy homogeneous looking SUVs and crossovers. About the fuel economy. This vehicle weighs 4500 lbs, carries 8 people + baggage. On a per person basis, the fuel economy is very good. When it comes to total value = handling, space, power, features, total cost of ownership this SUV is unbeatable.

Touring w/ our Pilot - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Jerry - September 17 - 3:50 amWe test drove all comparable SUVs (highlander, enclave, etc...) and found this vehicle a perfect fit for our family of 5. Others may have better gas mileage, and looks good on the outside, but the Pilot drives much better. It feels solid and comfortable w/ enough power even when towing our 21ft boat. Tech gadgets took a little time to learn, but once you get used to it, it becomes second nature, convenient, and fun. I love the back-up camera on the Nav monitor. I now instinctively look for it when I use other cars. This is definitely way better than the minivan it replaced.

** Honda 2009 Pilot ** - 2010 Honda Pilot
By lufaca - April 1 - 2:46 pmI am pleasantly surprised with the pilot. It is extremely comfortable and fun to drive but my only complaint is the fuel economy. Once you come to terms that the size, comfort do not come free then you can justify paying for the extra mileage. If you ask me if I would buy a pilot after knowing what I know now my answer will be yes. I will buy another one.

2010 Pilot EX FWD - 2010 Honda Pilot
By dmac2010 - February 19 - 10:50 amWe purchased this vehicle to replace our 2004 Ford Explorer. We looked at the Toyota Highlander and Mazda CX-9. Our criteria was 4WD, third row seat, class 3 trailer hitch, good resale value, quality and gas mileage at least in the low 20s. As soon as I sat in the Honda I felt right at home. The controls, storage spaces, seats, everything just felt better. Weve driven it on one trip and have put about 1.5K mile on it. The gas mileage is as advertised. No regrets.

Fun to drive - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Ceas - February 22 - 9:20 amI love everything about this Honda Pilot EX 2010. The interior is perfect, exterior is a little boxy but is ok. The only issue is its pulling to the right. I brought it back to the dealer to fix it. I waited around 1 1/2 hrs. to fix it and then they said they adjusted it, but its still pulling to the right. The service crew said its normal because of the road curves or condition which is unacceptable reason for me because Ive been driving for more than 20years handling different kinds of vehicle. Maybe I will just wait until they recall this problem.
