After a complete redesign last year, the 2010 Honda Pilot stands pat except for standard two-stage heated seats on the EX-L model and integrated rear window sunshades on the Touring.
- Pleasant ride, perfect crash test scores, decently roomy third-row seat, smooth V6, clever interior storage features.
- Back-of-the-pack brakes, sluggish acceleration, unremarkable fuel economy, button-heavy center stack.

Another winner from Honda - 2010 Honda Pilot
By HondaBTR - January 5 - 4:20 pmBought the Pilot as my family was outgrowing the 08 CRV I had. My final choice was between the PIlot and the Toyota Highlander. The Pilot won because of the useful third row seat, more standard features on the trim I was loking at and my general bias towards Honda. The car has been a revelation. It has a comfortable ride and at the same time has enough power under the hood to accelerate nicely on highways. Absolutely love the spacious interiors, the 6 cd changer and seven speakers. Only complaint I have is the horrible mileage. I emptied my first full tank and according to the trip meter, the mileage was a horrible 15mpg, which is low even for city driving.

New Pilot - 2010 Honda Pilot
By HarryO - September 13 - 7:50 pmWe have a 15 year old and needed the extra space. Rides a little like a truck but is very smooth and handles very well. Love the iPod connection and surround sound. Mileage could be a little better but only filled up once so far. Great riding SUV with great styling.

2010 Pilot Touring - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Paul Skjeveland - August 18 - 9:00 pmNew Pilot feels much larger than the previous model. The windshield is narrower and the hood sits much higher. The truck feels very solid and rides more quietly than our 2004 did. The center console can be a little confusing to operate until you have studied it a little while. The voice operation of items takes a little practice, but is great to use.

Best SUV for the Money! - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Flipsyde39 - June 5 - 3:40 pmMy wife and I were trying to decide between the 2010 Pilot Touring and the Buick Enclave EXL. The Enclave is nicer to look at than the Pilot but a bit too expensive (EXL w/o Nav or DVD $39k). The Pilot Touring model with Nav, DVD, Bluetooth, and HFL cost us $36k so we went with the more cost effective option. We are very glad we made this decision because it rides beautifully and the 3 kids absolutely love the new toy! It gets about the same gas mileage as our old 2000 Odyssey so were not too concerned. Ill be adding the after- market chrome running boards and chrome mesh grill next week to make it prettier. If youre gonna buy a Pilot, the Touring model is the way to go!

Better gas mileage that I planned for!!! - 2010 Honda Pilot
By agne - January 29 - 4:33 pmI have had the Pilot for just over a week. It is the best vehicle I have had thus far. (4th Honda we have purchased) Rides great and interior room is great. Child loves the RES. The ECO mode is great. In town mileage I am getting 18.5mpg took it on the highway this weekend for a trip averaged 24mpg on the way to our destination an 25mpg on the way home!!! Yes you read that right. That was also with regular 87 octane. If you do your part it can do its part.

Excellent SUV - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Mark Beres - November 4 - 3:30 pmMy girlfriend purchased a Pilot. We looked at all of its competitors in class, and the Pilot was the undeniable standout. We took it to Colorado and put it through the paces - EXCELLENT comfort, good views, handles superbly offroad (we went on some really craggy/bumpy rock roads ... steep too). The rear-diff lock is a definite plus (and helpful in steep spots). The Pilot is incredibly comfortable, exceptionally roomy. She got the EX-L, and its comfort and ride are awesome. Only negative is that the steering is heavier than some might like, but that makes it really solid at highway speed. The backup mirror is VERY useful. It eats gas (we got 23 mpg between Tucson and Telluride).

By zorin - August 13 - 10:33 amThe Pilot is built like vault. Feels very stable and solid on the road especially highway. Compared it to a Toyota Highlander but finally chose pilot as it is wider and lot more comfortable for ALL 8 occupants. Also note that the curb weight is 500 lbs higher than that of highlander giving it a slightly lower mileage but more solid feel.

By Curtis - August 1 - 1:03 amGot a new Pilot for my wife to replace her 02 VW Passat. We needed the room for a 9-mo and 7-yr old. Only had it for a few days. We did just return from a beach trip (5hr one way). It did really well. The RES is great - 7 yr old loves the wireless headphones. Plenty of room - much more than in my 07 Explorer. The NAV is nice - lots of buttons and options - just not enough time yet to figure out all the voice commands. The bluetooth link is nice - Linked my blackberry and her i-phone in minutes - also easy to import the phonebooks. The USB connections is really nice too - can control ipod from steering wheel. Did add running boards and cross bars. Hitch is great - used a hitch hauler on trip.

Love My Second Pilot - 2010 Honda Pilot
By Jim - April 3 - 2:00 pmI still love my 2004 Pilot but the new one is even better, which I still have a hard time believing as I liked the old one so well and still drive. Have driven over 2,000 miles and as usual with Honda, do not have to take back to the dealer until st oil change. Honda has really improved storage and the rear entertainment system is fantastic for grandchildren.

Happy So Far - 2010 Honda Pilot
By sutton - August 23 - 4:20 amWe bought our Pilot last weekend and have really enjoyed it so far. We wanted the RES, but our dealership had the color we wanted in stock without it and could add the DVD player with wireless headphones after factory for a better deal, so we went that route. We had a Hybrid Highlander and this SUV is so much roomier! We really needed a solid, sturdy third row seat and the Pilot is perfect. The drivers seat is very comfortable (love the lumbar support) and it rides very well. I am a small female and was worried about having to look over the large hood of the front of the car (especially compared to the highlander), but I have quickly gotten used it. Very comfortable, roomy, sturdy.
