  • Mileage - 2007 Honda Pilot

A fun car to drive. Mileage is a major issue for someone that has to drive this car on a daily basis. I purchased this vehicle to use for vacation trips, I plan on only using about 6000/year. If I had to use it to commute to work, I probably end up in the poor house

  • Great SUV for the money - 2007 Honda Pilot

I am a big Honda fan and biased for Honda over any other car company. This is our second Honda and I love it. The engine is silky smooth and near silent. The ride is nice and quiet. The SUV is great for the family with eight passenger seating and room for everyone. I test drove new GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook, Mazda CX-9 and even new Acura MDX. But Pilot has everything these other SUVs have plus the great price. Great SUV for the price. Buy and treat yourself!!

  • If youre scared of a minivan, get this - 2007 Honda Pilot

Im mad at myself that we didnt get this car sooner. Its got loads of space, performs well in snow, and is very comfortable for all passengers on trips, both long and short. If youve got kids, need more space, and dont want to be seen in a minivan, this car is worthy of your consideration.

  • I love my Honda Pilot - 2007 Honda Pilot

I was driving a Volvo X-country that I loved and vowed not to go any bigger. (I am not a minivan person). However, 2 children and friends later, we were looking. This Pilot drives like a dream, is easy to park and does not feel big to drive, but is very spacious inside. I love all the compartments and I love the safety ratings and rear airbags. In my younger day I had a Mustang and I have to tell you that I find this Pilot AS FUN to drive! I find the pick-up very good and find myself looking down and saying "oops! driving too fast"- very smooth ride. My kids love it too. It is an SUV, so I am not fazed by the gas mileage but I find it the same as ads. We did test others but Pilot is the best.

  • Why do they do that - 2007 Honda Pilot

I had been planning on a 2007 CR-V but decided that I should drive a couple others before making a decision. I drove the Pilot and loved the ride and power. I knew then that I was kidding myself into thinking I would be OK with the CR-V acceleration. I picked out an LX. I didnt have much need for the extras that came with the EX. I prefer the cloth interior and it doesnt bother me to insert another cd when I am done listening to one. I am actually more of a talk radio type. I do miss the automatic light shutoff. I have to wonder why Honda would have that feature on the LX Accord and not on the LX Pilot. Exiting the back seat seems clumsy.

Great acceleration for an SUV. I traded in a G35 and this has been a great vehicle so far. 90 miles driven and the fuel gauge still hasnt dropped from the full tank mark! Buy the 2WD EX-L - excellent features.

  • New Pilot owner... LOVE this car! - 2007 Honda Pilot

Ive only had my Pilot for 3 days, but I am absolutely sold on Honda now! We looked at all of the midsize SUVs and for the money, this was the best value hands down. I love the fact that all side curtain airbags come standard, and that shoulder belts are available for all passengers, even in the 3rd row. There is virtually no road noise, and it rides like a dream. I just love everything about this vehicle so far! Just waiting to check the mileage... hoping it gets what the sticker says it will. I feel great about having this as our family car - I was sold as soon as I saw the safety ratings. If you are looking for a lot of bang for your buck, test drive the Pilot!

  • Bad Investment! - 2007 Honda Pilot

Having a Honda minivan, we thought that the Pilot would be a no-brainer purchase. We were wrong. The mileage is so far off on this SUV that its criminal. I dont think I broke 11-12 mpg on the highway going 55-60 without any cargo or other passengers. The engine is underpowered if you are driving a vehicle that actually contains passengers. The interior is nice, the sound system is good, and all the guages are nicely layed out. The car comes with very little coverage (which is why Honda Care is so strongly "encouraged." After putting some miles on, I am beginning to hear a lot creaking.

  • Not too crazy about this SUV - 2007 Honda Pilot

The gas mileage is horrible!! I get 13 miles to gal.,not a lead foot. There is a clunking noise in the rear of the car always think I have run over something. co-worker has same model and same problem. dealer states nothing wrong. The build feels cheap. Engine is quiet, has good power.Drivers seat is postioned funny to the steering wheel( cannot explain this correctly, try to put your knee on the steeing wheel). Gas and brake pedal are in weird position also. Cannot wait to trade this vehicle. Cannot use all speakers due to vibration makes sound terrible.Had Toyota Highlander V6 and it was totaled (not by me).gas mileage was 18 in city, and saved my life.Waiting for 08 Highlander to buy.

  • Poor Fuel Economy - 2007 Honda Pilot
    By -

Purchased Pilot March 4, 2007. Getting between 13-16 MPG. Have 1500 miles on it. Carpool friend has a 2005 Pilot also 4WD and same engine size. They get 17 - 22 MPG (and have from day 1). We have the same commute! What has changed? I agree with other reviews - needs auto locking doors, rear door should auto lock if not closed hard enough. Temperature gauge should be on mirror not behind steering wheel.
