Pilot is the best SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By wildbill - July 9 - 10:00 amDealing with a Honda dealership is among the worst of all experiences. Owning the new Pilot is among the best! The head room and extra width, along with solid performance and a simple, well thought out interior, make this the best SUV that still fits into your garage. After 3 MBZs and an Audi TT, I am holding onto the Pilot!

Transmission Failed - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Steve - July 8 - 8:41 pmHaving owned and driven multiple Honda Accords since a 1979 model, I was expecting a similar non-eventful and reliable experience with a 2003 Pilot that was purchased used. But the transmission has just failed at 140k miles. Sadly, this is standard for the Honda Pilot if you quickly glance around the internet. The same problem extends to other Honda models with the V6: the Accord, Odyssey, and Acura TL. These and other Honda transmission issues have been subject of numerous recalls and class action suits over the years. I am otherwise a Honda fan and enjoy the Pilot, but this one reliability issues is a serious shortcoming that anyone purchasing must be financially prepared for.

Honda Pilot - 2003 Honda Pilot
By frank2003 - July 4 - 10:00 amMy new Pilot definitely lives upto its hypes that I heard of in the News & Views. Heated front seats and some price reduction would be nice!

Pilot is a great value - 2003 Honda Pilot
By msymbrad - June 11 - 10:00 amPurchased the Honda Pilot after considering several other SUVs and hybrids. Knew that we wanted the Pilot immediately after driving it. It is a very solid, comfortable, fun-to-drive vehicle. Was kind of hard to find a dealer who is willing to sell one under msrp in our area of the midwest. When you consider the features and quality of the Pilot compared to other SUVs, the price these vehicles command is a little easier to take.

EXCELLENT SUV - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Dustin Mardis - June 11 - 10:00 amAfter driving almost every SUV from $25,000 to $40,000, we decided to purchase the Pilot (EX-L with DVD). This is by far the nicest vehicle I have owned. The Pilot has all the options I was looking for at a fair price with Honda quality and reputation. If you are looking for a quality SUV with all the options, look no further, this is the one to buy!!

3 Years of Driving - 2003 Honda Pilot
By zzedo310 - June 2 - 10:21 pmAs the title states, Ive owned my 03 for 3 years. In that time, Ive put 60K miles on it and drove it from AK to FL and several trips in the CONUS. No major issues. Minor issues: recommended tune-ups are costly, both the 60K mile tuneup and 90K mile tune-up were around $1000 each. To get fully installed towing package, another $1000. Drive train belt, another grand. At 100K miles, just as another owner here stated, my speaker system is going downhill. During long trips, I notice a buzzing sound coming out of the speakers. Annoying enough to shut music off. Great storage cubbies in front for maps, flashlights, etc.

Great buy!!! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Maribel - May 22 - 10:00 amI bought this SUV after comparing it with both Lexus SUVs, Toyota Sequoia and Highlander, Acura MDX, Mercedes Benz and BMW SUVs. I have to say it is very smooth to drive, has great power, and the features are incredible. Even though in Puerto Rico it is much more expensive than in the States, I believe it is worth the price.
