we have the ex-l with dvd player. it drives and handles more like a car but has the versitility of a truck--seats fold easily, there is plently of space for larger families and their gear. kids love the tv and its easy to run from the front seat. for heavy towing and off- roading its not as well suited as the trailblazer and its cousins, but for light camping and home depot runs, its perfect.

I havent owned a Honda in several years because I outgrew their cars. However, the new Pilot is just my size. I owned a 2001 Ford Windstar. I was pleased though it was big and bulky. The Pilot is shorter has a much tighter turning radious. I am over 61" tall and it is extremely comfortable. It has plenty of storage space and seating capacity. I have put over 1000 miles on it and find that it handles well. It has many features that others charge extra for. I paid $700 less than the MSRP. Its better than a van, SUV or passenger car. Its the best of each of them and a joy to drive. Best of all I know that I have the reliability of a Honda.

I have had my Pilot since June 8 2002 the week it was officially released. I Have only had to bring it in for the 2 major recalls . Other than that i have only had some very minor nits. i.e. the driver side windshield washer nozzle sometimes leaks without using them. I have driven my car in Death Valley and on the dirt roads around Southern California. Works great to me. One thing though is I take my Pilot to Acura for the major services since Honda dealers around here seem to nickel and dime you for certain things that are supposed to be done. Acura does everything for one price with no extras.... Eric the Desert Rat

The Honda Pilot, as delivered, suffers from such bland styling that one of the men at my regular tire dealer doesnt ever remember seeing one! It is a very competent vehicle, and the third row seating is what made it the vehicle of choice for the principal driver, my wife. We have 4 young grandchildren. We added the factory chrome trim on the bumpers, 18" chrome wheels, and the custom Honda front grill/bumber module. It looks much better, and we get a lot of looks, especially from other Pilot drivers. We think they believe it is a "Special Limited Edition" model, or an unavailable "test model".

  • Wheres the Sunroof? - 2003 Honda Pilot

Why isnt a sunroof an option/accesory from Honda? All the competitors offer one!

  • Really well built - 2003 Honda Pilot

This is a vehicle that you can tell was really researched for a long time. THey took the best of most SUV and cars and put them into one vehicle. You have the ride and feel of a car, and the room more thatn any other SUV in its class. Lots of storage places as well as extra outlets for almost any growing family.

  • Great Package - 2003 Honda Pilot

The Pilot is a great package, everything you could ask for in a SUV and at a reasonable price. Id highly recommend it.

  • Insane family SUV! - 2003 Honda Pilot
    By -

Wow. We couldnt be happier with our new Pilot. We gladly traded our 1999 Dodge Durango for our new Honda and it has already eclipsed the ol Dodge in every department. The Pilot is like a condo on wheels. Room for me (63" 250), spouse, to kids and all our gear. We even have room for Grandma now when she comes to visit. The choice between the Pilot and MDX came down to value. We chose to save the extra $9,500.00 and pay for private school. If you are wishy washing around about this vehicle, get off your duff and buy one.

Purchased to replace a 1997 Suburban, and have been very impressed with the vehicle. Normal maintenance and have followed Hondas recommended maintenance schedule and the vehicle continues to impress mile after mile!
