I test drove the Sienna and the Odyssey extensively. In terms of cost, Sienna is less expensive but the unappealling exterior looks and the uneven drive led me to purchase the ODYSSEY. The exterior look is just sharp and smooth. The drive is amazing. So far so good.

  • Problem Every Year - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Well, lets just say Im a bit disappointed with my 2005 Odyssey EX. Looks like a good mini-van (Im a Honda fan), but since I bought this 2005 new model seems like every year I have some kind of problem with it. First year I had to replace brakes (twice), had whistling noise from the windshield (dealer replaced rubber gasket in 2006), in 2007 had to replace steering fluid pump (was making noise) and now in 2008 I just started to notice strange noises from fuel tank (taking it to a dealer next week), but out of warranty now. Cant wait to see whats the problem this time. I have learned a hard way never to buy a new model the first year it comes out. Hope that nothing happens next year.

  • Mixed feelings?! Glove box came with gap - 2005 Honda Odyssey

First of all the EPG is totally off! Although I am not sure if this is because of the type of gas you are using. When I use Stop $hop Gas I only get 15 MPG, use Mobile and I get maybe 20. The other thing is the glove box had gap in it.There was after spray on the moldings my van is white. My CD changer stopped working in December. Took a month to order and I wont get my CDs back until who knows when).I am dissapointed to buy a new car and have so many things wrong with it. They are minor and hopefully will not create more problems. Althought the CD player has been fixed I have to return to the dealer to get the side pannels fixed and now my dome lights are not working at all?!

  • Odyssey Rocks! - 2005 Honda Odyssey

My 2005 Odyssey has been a true travel companion. I just got back after a 2300 mile round trip and it worked great. Drove through the Lombard St (Crooked street) in San Francisco, along the S Lake Tahoe and in the desert heat of 110 degrees for hours. Next trip up is Banff, Canada. I love this van and I am keeping it till it quits on me.

Overall I love my Odyssey. The only real complaint I have is the rough ride over small bumps. I believe this is because of the run flat tires. Its a great ideal (run flat tires) but rough on the ride.

  • Luxury sedan with room for 7 - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We initially went to look for mid-sized SUVs, with all of the bells and whistles. Then by chance we stopped into a Honda dealer, just to look. Wow, is this minivan loaded! And comfortable too! Yeah its not as stylish as some of the SUVs. But theres more room and you end up with about $10,000 to spend on something else.

We have loved our Honda Odyssey and have taken it everywhere. Our dealer has been great with anything warranty and non-warranty related. This vehicle is like a sports car and is a blast to drive. Its hard to believe that this vehicle averages for us around 24 MPH while packed down with two children and all our gear for vacation. We will buy another one.

  • Fully Satisfied - 2005 Honda Odyssey

My wife and I shopped only Honda and Toyota to ensure highest quality and reliability. We drove them back-to- back within 15 minutes of each other. Toyota has slightly better fit/finish and materials, is quieter, slower, and rolls more in turns. Honda is more powerful, rides slightly firmer, and handles much better. Ergonomics in both are great excepts that the Honda does not have a telescoping wheel like the Toyota; sounds picky, but it makes a difference for driving comfort. Over 1200 miles, gas mileage averages only 21 mpg, but I expect that to pick up once the engine is broken (5k miles or so). For the same features in Honda, we needed to get Toyota Limited at 5k more; not worth it

  • Safest Car Ever! - 2005 Honda Odyssey

  • Me, in a minivan??? You bet. - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Never thought wed be caught dead in a minivan, but took the plunge after wagons and big sedans. Looked at Toyota, Dodge, Nissan, and Mazda. Only the Toyota came close in features and perceived build quality. Van feels and drives like a car. Handles minor bumps in the road like a dream. Excellent power, absolutely no reservation needed to merge into traffic or the highway. Very comfortable in all rows. Lots of room to store and haul stuff.
