  • Incredible - 2005 Honda Odyssey

This van replaced a 96 Grand Caravan. No comparison! Excellent build quality and features. Designed for Mom and drivers both (may be one and the same). Nav system is fantastic...once you learn the many options. Back seats are the best bar none for ease of folding and comfort.

  • Great Vehicle, but dump Michelin - 2005 Honda Odyssey

This has been a great vehicle for us. The styling and handling of the van is excellent. Build-in features, even on the base model we purchased, surpass expectation. However, and this is an expensive however, the tires are awful. The OEM Michelin tires have been nothing by trouble and are expensive. Weve been through 2 already at $150 a pop and about to replace a third. Ive never had some much trouble as I have with these Michelins.

This is the best van on the market.I have been in other vans both American and Japanese but this is the best. All the controls are rock solid and the engine goes from 6 to 3 cylinders without any noticable difference in engine power. The seats are great and easy to convert.I would recomend this van to anyone. Its the best. It drives and handles like a car and the engine has the power needed to pass without any difficulty.

  • Forget stigma, look at the convenience - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I was fixing to purchase another SUV, a friend told me to at least consider and test drive a minivan. We have three kids. I had a Totoya Sequoia previously. I couldnt get over that we actually had more space for the kids in the minivan. I figured cargo space would be less behind the third row seats, it wasnt. Plenty of cargo room, and such versatility in this minivan. I had a stigma about not wanting to drive a minivan (I use to think it was for much older people). I got over that quickly after seeing and driving my family around in it. I love the features inside, but when you get out of it-it is still a minivan. Not a sporty look, but I would give that up again for this vehicle!

  • A super car - 2005 Honda Odyssey

The head rests are tilted forward enough to muss up my wifes hair - she turned them around and is now happy, but i dont know how effective the now are.-------------The merry go round under the floor in the middle sec. Is completely worthless. I removed mine and it is for sale [unused] for a cheap price.---------One of the tires lost most of its air in 45 days, two times. They had to replace the cast wheel, it had a very small defect. A fine car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tech. needs to be refined. - 2005 Honda Odyssey

It is going on approx. 2 wks, so the infatuation has diminished. It is still an excellent vehicle, except for the glitches btw. the voice command, radio, and navigation. Sometime the navigation freezes up and will not respond. Sometimes the radio will just stop playing for no apparent reason. I believe it is all occuring from the voice interface. When everything is working correctly, the vehicle is magnificent. When they are not, it leaves a little to be desired.

  • Amazing - Luxury Van - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Outstanding vehicle. It actually feels more like a large European luxury sedan. Plenty of power, excellent handling, well thought out, luxurious interior. Weve owned a 99 Odyssey and a 2004 Pilot. I thought the interior on the Pilot was a big upgrade on the 99 Odyssey. Well the 05 interior on the Odyssey is amazing. Honda could have slapped an Acura badge on this thing and it would have sold. Unless you need AWD, the Odyssey is the clear choice for families. By the way, it does nicely in the snow. The overall quality of the vehicle makes me feel like Im driving a $50k+ luxury car. At less than $30k out the door for a EX-L, its a steal.

  • Best car Ive ever owned - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I am SO happy with my purchase. I debated between the Sienna and the Odyssey for some time and I am very glad I chose the Odyssey. Feature for feature, the Odyssey is a much better value. The ride is very smooth, steering is tight, seating is comfortable, and the brakes are very responsive. Having never owned a foreign car before, I feel I have been missing out. I am sold on Honda.

  • 2005 Touring R&N - 2005 Honda Odyssey

A good value overall - almost a luxury vehicle for less money with far more versatility. Never have gotten less than 20 mpg to any tank although, admittedly, most miles have been over the road. Will get 28 (or better) when driven at 65 mph - mileage will drop markedly if driven faster. Power is adequate. Ride is almost too harsh with just a driver aboard but much better when fully loaded. Road noise is excessive on concrete surfaces. Vehicle has not had any reliability issues or exhibited any quirky behavior. PAX tires are wearing fine at 36,000 miles and are an attractive safety feature. Lack of telescopic steering wheel has been addressed on 07 and newer models.

  • Quiet, powerful, and fun as a van gets.. - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We shopped extensively, Chrysler, Nissan, Ford and Toyota. We drove them all and found the Honda to be the most comfortable, and by far the best driving experience. The Chrysler was nice but looked dated, and the lauded "stow and go" middle seats were very uncomfortable for anyone over 5 years old. It wouldve been a bit cheaper with the incentives, but I think the resale value of the Honda will balance that out in the end. We vetod the Nissan immediately for the offset gauges and the wierdo radio and hvac controls, although it drove pretty well. The Ford just felt cheap, like something youd rent instead of own. The Toyota was close but felt floaty and a little weak, plus more $$$.
