Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

Super reliability & gas mileage - 2005 Honda Accord
By Robert - November 30 - 5:58 pmThe perfect commuter & fun to drive. No problems and minimal maintenance (oil & filter, tires, brakes) in 70 K miles. Very reliable, great gas mileage: I average 30-32 MPG, 70% highway at 80 MPH. Decent performance with the 4 cylinder 5 speed combo, and fun to drive. Could not be happier!

Nav EX 4 Cyl Accord - 2005 Honda Accord
By Charles Hotze III - November 25 - 3:53 amHave gotten up to 42.7 miles per gallon when I was on a trip and not in a hurry. It handles well. Navigation System is outstanding. Leather holding up well to normal use. Wish they would reinstate U.S. availability of a matching telephone connection for hands free operation through the speakers and microphone that are in the car. Literature shows that this used to be available for Motorola and several other phone brands, but Honda of America has taken this feature away from the U.S. buyer. I understand it can still be had in Japan though. Otherwise, I love this car and will buy another for my wife, who also finds the ride and handling to be just what she likes.

Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord

I was in the market for the Civic EX but when I thought of only adding a couple of grand more I got leather, 16in rims, dual cliamte control, and my favorite the DOHC I-VTEC engine.

Pilot or Accord, Mazda or G6 - 2005 Honda Accord
By Dan - October 14 - 7:56 amAfter much thought, we decided in favor of the 2005 accord ex with cloth. Although the residual value on the Pilot was better, with gas prices on the rise, we chose another accord. Mazda and Pontiac were considered, just briefly before trading in the 2002 special edition. It was the best decision, we realized significant improvements in the vehicle since 2002. I was impressed with all the upgrades, from the increased horsepower to the solid ride. The interior was well appointed and the cabin space slightly larger. Instrumentation was well organized and easy to use. Only one minor regret,the moonroof didnt work. The dealer was aware of a fuse problem, otherwise, very satisfied.

Good value for the money - 2005 Honda Accord

I test drove a Camry and found it comparable, but the cost of options that are standard on the Honda made the Camry too expensive. The back seat leg room is best of any car I looked at, and I think the trunk is very roomy.I love this car and feel very good about the price I paid. However, I am finding that bucket seats are not for the elderly or those with arthritis.

By Afonse - September 12 - 9:20 amI had purchased the 05 Accord Lx because my 96 civic EX was a great car. The car overall is great, but the manufacturer could have made the radio reception better and had a better quality control. For example, the inner roof top needs to be glued and the dash was not seated right. Minor to its overall perfomance and looks. Dealership did not emphasize how the car does not need an oil change until 10,000 miles per normal wear. Instead, they gimmick deals on maintenance for every 3700 and other unnecessary maintenance. As mentioned earlier, I had a car in great shape for over 120,000 with proper maintance.

New Accord Ex-L with Navigation - 2005 Honda Accord
By Dave - September 9 - 7:20 pmJust purchases. Was a little disappointed with some of the features that seem to be standard on other cars in this price range. Other than these little things, I love this car. The navigation system is worth the additional cost (not to mention fun to play with). Wish I would have purchased the V-6 because the car seems a little underpowered. This is all I can complain about. This is a well built car and a great car to drive.

Excellent quality. Only downside is rear seats dont fold and slight loss of trunkroom due to Hybrid Battery location. Roomy interior, 255 Horsepower, 30 MPG. The ideal car for me

Runs Like A Top - 2005 Honda Accord

A nice, smooth and quiet ride in a reliable vehicle is what we were looking for and is what we got. We used to dread packing things into the old car in order to take a day trip. Now we look forward to it.
