Overview & Reviews
Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

Great v6 - 2005 Honda Accord
By RAZ - July 2 - 3:25 pmI retired my 1993 Accord with over 400,000 miles on it, (head gasket blown), and went with this v6. I travel 70% highway 70 mph ( I am not gunning it ever) and getting 27 mpg. A recent hwy trip 34 mpg at 70 mph. It gets better gas mileage than my 4cly 93! Go figure? Great power when needed. No problems yet, 66,000 miles on the car. Leather is very comfortable, radio 6-cd great!

4 cyl is plenty - 2005 Honda Accord
By Mike - June 29 - 2:00 pmThe 4 cyl has a surprising amount of power. I came from a 6 cyl Jeep and this car still does not seem sluggish. It is much quicker than any other 4 cyl that I have owned. It is not as fast as the Altima, but gets superior fuel economy. The interior quality is great and the stereo and climate controls are easy to use. Sunroof controls are in an odd place (to the left of the steering wheel, and too low) but it leaves room for a sunglasses holder on the ceiling in front of the sunroof. This car is very roomy in front. Not quite as much room in the back as the Altima, but still good. Head room with the sunroof is still adequate for the tall (65") as long as the seat is not raised.

Great Car!! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Andy in Indy - June 29 - 11:10 amThis is my 4th Accord, and the best yet. Just got it on Friday....dark red with gray interior. The extra horses in the V6 compared to the prior model is really noticeable. Great interior features.

Great Value - 2005 Honda Accord
By GD - June 23 - 2:46 amAll in all the 2005 Honda provides a fun, efficient and safe ride. Plenty of room for 4 adults, without sacrificing performance. Car handles well on highway and city. Clutch system makes city driving easier than previous experiences. I have discovered a few rattles. First in the dash area. Dealership fixed it the first time in. Second developed in the passenger side headrest area. Nice trunk room. Could use fold away hinges like the Passat to allow greater clreance in the sides of the trunk. Stereo sounds full and XM option is great and easy to use. Biggest diappointment is the odomoeter/trip and temp options. Odometer should remain on with trip A, B and Temp options.

By jcw819 - June 6 - 8:39 amI enjoy this car in every way. It is fuel efficient, but has enough power to pass, even at interstate speeds.

Happy - 2005 Honda Accord
By albert - June 4 - 2:56 amI had a 2003 Honda Accord EX, but for the deal I got, it was worth it to tradeup. I am very happy with the Hybrid. While I just got it, milage is still better than previous Honda. It should improve substantially as I increase its use.

Very Proud Owner - 2005 Honda Accord
By Honda for life - June 3 - 9:22 pmI was surprised with the amount of car I received with my Accord. Power heated Leather Seats, power windows, power locks, remote transmitter in key, 6 disc player, moonroof, 6 air bags, great stock sound system,2.4L engine w/ great gas mileage 26 city/34 hwy. It is a very smooth ride for the most part, except on the interstate where road noise is present. The car comes with ABS, but needs bigger brakes. Another surprising feature is how much room there is in the backseat, 3 adults fit easily in the back. A lot of storage compartments throughout the car. Also 6 cup holders for a 5 person coupe, Pretty cool! All in all I am very impressed with this car and will buy Honda in the future!

Loyal Accord LX - 2005 Honda Accord
By Mandy - May 30 - 3:24 pmI love my car, I purchased it in 1/07 certified. The only problem I have had is with the power steering pump. Being certified Tempe Honda has taken care of all concerns. I love the size and trunk space. I am not a fan of the style.

Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord
By ekikp2 - May 30 - 10:00 amWas very impressed with the power for the 240hp engine and the ride is Honda. Gas mileage is good and after owning a 330 Beamer this car is alomost as good. FWD has some steering torque but nav system is great.
