For 2004, the Thunderbird gets revised seat trim, an Audiophile stereo, Homelink and newly styled aluminum accents. Exterior changes include new V8 badging, redesigned 17-inch wheels and a Light Sand Appearance package, which includes cream-colored gauges, a sand-colored top and bronze interior accents. Merlot, Platinum Silver and Vintage Mint Green are new exterior paint choices this year.

The car has very good power for getting in and out of trafic also passing on the hi-ways is a breeze(that is a pun). With the top down it is easy getting in and out of this car.My wife and I are in our 60s and we have a lot of fun driving around Cape Cod.I am not sorry for spending the money on this car.

This car will be mine for a LONG time, I may buy new cars, but I will NEVER sell my t-bird, its in a CLASS of its own! Drives exceptional, interior (the two tone) is classy with a flare of modern, great pick up, sound system is second to none. Would like some trunck space, for the shopping sprees. Once your in te t-bird club you never leave.

I drove to Ohio on the fourth of July from Atlanta It was the best ride I have had In 30 years, the gas milege was unbeleivible the handeling was superd. I loved the way the car shifted It was like being In a stick shift Im from the 50s and the 60s when there was real cars this T Bird could easly fit in. I Love It I hope Ford does not stop making this car In 2004 They have a good thing going dont blow It.

It has done all that I want it to do. It is comfortable and quiet. Exhaust sound is great. Heads turn when you drive by people. Have gotten a lot of favorable comments on the T-Bird.

  • Love my Bird ! - 2004 Ford Thunderbird

My son wrecked what I thought was to be my last car-- a 2004 Mercedes c230 coupe that I dearly loved ! Searching the net for a replacement I came across a 2004 T-Bird at a "give away" price.Took a look and I was hooked !! Im a 71 year old woman, alone now, but when I drive my T-Bird, top down & Elvis playing, oh boy, the joy and the memories !! It doesnt get the 36mpg of the Mercedes- but is a gas saver anyway- cant fit the family so I get chauffeured around a lot ! I havent regretted buying this car for one second-the stand out design in todays world predominated with S.U.V.s and hybrids brings a big smile to my face whenever I look at it ! Its a beauty !

  • Faulty Rims - 2004 Ford Thunderbird

I too have had major problems with the tires leaking air. Dealer said there was no problem. Tire company says, and this was after 2 new tires had to be purchased prematurely....PROBLEM is the RIMS are faulty at the factory. I have had problems with 2 wheel...and now starting with my THIRD.

The car is really fun to drive. The styling is simply beautiful. Comfortable seats, but there could be more head room. Im lucky if I get 15 mpg in the city, but then Ive got a lead foot. No one will beat it once the light turns green. Highway milage is a respectable 24 mpg. Interior storage space is dismal. The storage areas are just too small to be really useful. The raddio and AC area is a little busy with many small buttons, but works well. A couple of trim pieces (lower side of drivers seat and base of parking brake) came loose, but the dealer fixed them at no charge.
