I must have the lemon - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By T-Bird RN - March 22 - 9:56 amI love my T-bird. Felt like the queen of the road. But recently have been having problems one day out of no where it overheated, 3 engine fans gone bad, then transmission leaking it was rebuilt. just the other day driving down the road felt like I was going over rumble strips car bucking took it back for check up, seems when they had it on the road test could find anything. I guess it did not act up for them. Suggested could be torque converter and to bring it back when it happens all the time. I thought ford was built tough. I have 6 other Ford vehicles with over 200 thousand miles and no transmission or engine problems. What happened to the T-Bird?

Nostalgia plus fun - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By bud - March 29 - 8:45 amA lot of people complain about the price being too high and cite the car as costing $50K. I say to those people that Ive got some swamp land for them to buy. I purchased this car for around $20K and the original sticker was $27K. For $25 K the car is an excellent sports car. Its not a Porsche but is quite nimble and has ample power with the small v8 equipped. For the money, its a bargain. The fit and finish are quite excellent for a Ford. The reliability is not bad for a sports car of which cars in that category usually require a bit more than just changing the oil and filling it up.

Great car for fun driver - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By George Schwab - February 1 - 8:25 amBought this for my wife and we both enjoy driving it, and owning it. Its not a hot rod, but has plenty of power. Smooth ride and very fun to drop the top and cruise. If you want a Corvette, buy one (I probably will) but dont sell the Thunderbird short. Its a keeper, in my opinion.

Birds of a feather... - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By jjl - February 13 - 2:00 amDefinitely a head-turner. Just plain fun to drive. This cars style makes gawkers smile! I didnt expect it to drive like a Jag or an SL, and dont care if its only a Ford product. Im a father of 4 going through a mid-life crisis!! The most impractical car Ive ever bought, but I dont care!

Overpriced - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By Chris Edwards - August 27 - 2:00 amThis is a great looking convetible, but way too much money! My Sebring was just as much fun at half the price. I used to be impressed by the Jaguars too, but then again, it was pointed out to me that for $50,000 even Yugo can build a good looking car.

Pretty but lacks attention to detail - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By topher - April 29 - 2:00 amA blast to drive, but it lacks the attention to detail and convenient group items of other two seaters that are in the same price range such as the SLK/Z3/S2000/MR2.

Car buff - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
By flyingbrad - March 4 - 11:52 pmThe car is a disappointment in some ways. For instance, It does not have eithor memory seats or built in garage door opener. Which I think is shortsighted for this class of car. I do feel the car is drop dead georgious. It draws a croud every time I park it.. The hard top is too heavy It is difficult for two older guyes to handle. The proformance is great, although not as refined as I had hoped. OPn the whole I would give the effort a "B"
