Got the car in April...2700 miles later the transmission is already broke. A sensor is also shot...While covered by warranty--be careful buying one of these.

  • Trouble with starting?? - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

I have a 2010 fusion and having problems with starting.I had to the dealer at 500 miles and they couldnt find what the problem was. It happened a few times more so the dealer has it as we speak. The problem i had was it would crank but not turn over till the third try. They finally did research on it and said it had to do with the Ground strap. Also when i received the car it was having trouble w/the transmission to find out it was 3 quarts low of fluid! Other then that it rides nice but had it to the dealer twice and i only have 1500 miles on it what is going to happen in my future!

  • Very good car, horrible seats - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

Ford did a great job. Love the ride an handling. With 18" wheels, it holds curves like a sport sedan. Put about 2500 miles in the first month, w/ 27 mpg for my commute. Sony stereo is fantastic. Lots of space. Like the Synch system for hands free phone. The front seats are horrible. Cant find a comfortable position, even with 8-way power adjustment. I like the headrest, which most people dont. But my lower back hurts all the time. The cushions are hard and the back is too narrow. Im 63", 190. Tall but not large. The seats are bad enough that I am considering replacing the car after just one month. Too bad, otherwise its an excellent car.

  • I-4 S pros and cons - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

Pros: I-4 (4 cylinder, 175 hp) has good acceleration (Im used to V-8s in big cars). Excellent turning radius. The seats are very comfortable. The trunk room is good. Cons: at 61", I find the shoulder belt to cross my upper body below my left shoulder in my most comfortable driving position; this is a definite drawback. The rear deck is high and limits visibility to the rear. There is no rear perimeter alarm to compensate for this. The numerous control buttons must be memorized for use while driving as they are small and the labeling is small.

  • Fun and Affordable - 2010 Ford Fusion

Had a Ford 18 years ago in high school. Since then not very excited about the line up. My buddy who works for Ford said "just get in to one" I test drove the Fusion Sport and was so impressed I purchased it. The only negative was the Eagle RSA tires. You give the fusion some gas and the tires squack instead of grab. I immediately replaced them with my favorite tire Michelin Pilots. Climate control buttons could be angled better. Fun car pretty good gas mileage (27 HWY, 18 city so far). Definitely a car to consider.

  • Great Surprise! - 2010 Ford Fusion

To be honest, this car wasnt my first choice. I was set to buy an Altima until the Nissan dealer pulled a bait and switch on me. I found this car by mistake...Thank you Nissan! Ive had my Fusion for a couple of weeks now, and cant believe I didnt find it sooner. The exterior is hip, yet not too hip for my age. Interior is comfortable for my 6 200lb frame, and can comfortably seat 4 adults or an adult and 4 teens! Sound system is above average, and the dash gets lots of notice. The sync system is outstanding and easy to use. Mileage so far is roughly 30mpg in mixed conditions. Car handled very well in recent snow storm. V6 engine is very spunky. Quiet ride.

  • Like it except for harsh ride - 2010 Ford Fusion

I like the way the car handles and rides on the highway. Unfortunately, the ride is very harsh on real streets, meaning on bumps, potholes, manhole covers, etc.

  • Chose Fusion Sport over Lincoln MKZ - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

Oiginally considered a Lincoln MKZ, the same basic car but with fancier options, but it seemed too much like an old man car. Fusion Sport has almost all the same options with a sportier look. Got it with AWD and handling is great. I think I will tear up the factory tires for the next year and then splurge on some nicer ones. Engine has good pickup... doesnt really snarl like a true sports car but acceleration is effortless. In tuxedo black, the car turns some heads and the exterior on the 2010 is a big improvement over the previous Fusions. So far, Im really enjoying it.

  • HAPPY SURPRISE - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

After talking myself out of my 04 Lincoln LS and into a "gas friendly" vehicle, I have been happily surprised just how much I really like my new Fusion. It just sips fuel, regular at that. Smoother on the road than my Lincoln LS and surprisingly comfortable. Wind noise, forget it! Finally......... Good job Ford!

  • 2010 SEL 3.0 V6 with sport package - 2010 Ford Fusion
    By -

Before I purchased this car I looked at the Accord and Camry. Fit and finish I would say the Honda was a hair better but the Ford was much nicer then the Toyota, especially in design. Performance and driving were very close with all models but I found the ford more fun. I liked the idea of a V6 without having to go to the sport. Mileage was about 27mpg during the summer but Im down to high 23s this winter. My 3.0 doesnt seem to like the winter blend. The car is very fun to drive and with a manual transmission it would be almost perfect. I do have two issues, one is a high pitched wine from the fan motor and a clunk from the drivers side rear door. I will be taking it in shortly.
