Overview & Reviews
The F-150 is fully redesigned for 2004. It's bigger, more powerful and offers a greater variety of features and body styles than ever before.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations, most payload and towing capacity in the half-ton class.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

Buy One! - 2004 Ford F-150
By larck - October 23 - 10:00 amThis is my first pickup. Decided on Ford F-150 due very positive reviews. I was always a small car person but this truck is an absolute pleasure to drive. Still getting used to the size and lower gas mileage though! The build quality is superior to the Honda Odyssey I bought two years ago, which we still own and will keep for a while (I drive the truck and gave my car to my daughter). I shopped Chevy and Toyota and in my opinion neither came close. The Toyota had too many rattles right off the lot and I have been burned too many times by Chevy.

Awesome Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By trucktony - October 7 - 11:38 pmLove this truck, this is my 5th truck I have owned thru the years and this is by far the most fun and most quality built of all the ones I have had. The truck rides beautiful, handles superbly and you can just feel the tough quality of the truck as you drive it. I bought new 17 inch 275 wide tires for it and it just looks like 4 wheel drive truck as high as it sits. The sound system is superb and you can for sure shut out all outside noise with the music on and AC on and windows closed.I would definitely recommend this truck over and over again.

Nice looking truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By daniel valles - October 3 - 12:57 amThe truck is fun to drive. Its very fast stock but if you throw some modifications its even faster. The style, it looks mean. The interior is great. Suede seats, leather wrap steering wheel. The racing tires for better traction. The rims are very nice with SVT unique caps. Its just a cool truck.

From Dodge to Ford - 2004 Ford F-150
By skel - October 2 - 2:00 amSpecial order from factory; took 5 weeks from the 8 weeks estimated. Have only noticed one flaw with this truck; factory put 2 different running boards on (molded board on drivers side and tubular on passenger side). Much, much better truck than the 97 Ram 1500 Im coming out of.

Ford on top - 2004 Ford F-150
By ktown78 - October 2 - 2:00 amWhile the F-150 does lack the side air bags, it is undeniably the safest large truck on the highway. It has crash severity sensors, available back up sensors, front & Rear Crumple zones, the strongest frame made, a hood that will not go through the windshield, and all speed traction control, the engine has more power than either GM or Dodge 300HP & 365lb torque at 1000 rpm, not 3000. For once Ford has taken the lead. Can you say 4 doors i every cab design? The ride is much more refined than competitors and takes this truck to the Rolls Royce of Trucks

Best truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By Johnny2 - September 27 - 2:00 amMy truck handles beautifully. All silver and a nice sounding engine. I beat a DODGE HEMI with ease. This truck is amazing when it comes down to speed and power. Hopefully they come out with another in 05.

Medium Wedgewood Blue Lariat Supercrew - 2004 Ford F-150
By Uncle Fetzer - September 22 - 10:00 amIve had my 04 Screw Lariat 4x4 since September and love it. The truck looks great in the Medium Wedgewood Blue/Arizona Beige two-tone. When I first bought the truck I had the only one in my area (SE Oklahoma) for a couple months and it was like being a celebrity. People stared, wanted to set in/look at my truck and I had very favorable responses. The ride is great, the truck is very quiet and it seems like a Lincoln. The only downside is fuel mileage. I started out getting about 13 mpg (city/hwy) but at 9,800 miles its up to 16 mpg. Basically, its a great truck!

Great Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By Michael - September 18 - 2:55 pmOne the highest quality vehicle I have ever owned. Only major issues after 65,000 miles were a bad solenoid for the locking hubs and a temp gauge that is 6 degrees off. OE tires were borderline, and interior cloth stains quite easily. Interior quality was much better before they sourced this stuff out (yes, I worked at Ford years ago and still hold the competency of the truck group high). This thing has been down a lot of washboard dirt roads and on rough narrow two tracks and is still tight. K&E filter helped gas mileage a bit. Go with the 6.5 bed if you haul any lumber or want to use the bed for overnighters.

My F150 - 2004 Ford F-150
By Mr. Happy - September 16 - 10:00 amThis is a great truck. This is my fourth purchase of an F150. Ive owned all body types. Ford continues to make a great truck. If only they would/could do something about fuel efficiency. Since my first Ford in 1989, fuel efficiency SUCKS. Now that regular gasoline is hovering around two dollars a gallon, I,m giving serious consideration to unloading this puppy. When I need the utility of a truck, Maybe Im borrow my son-in-laws Jeep SUV
