Overview & Reviews
Arriving in 2003 for the XLT supercab styleside configuration is the Heritage Edition, which includes 17-inch wheels, a chrome cab step and various stylistic flairs such as a black bedliner, a lower valance, paint striping and a paint scheme with a raised cut-line. Also new is an STX edition for the XL- and XLT-trimmed regular and supercabs that includes an MP3 player combined with a monochromatic color scheme and clear lights, among others. Upgrades for the fancy King Ranch flavor consist of fake wood for the interior, lighted step bars and an in-dash six-disc CD changer. For the Lariat, expect a standard rear window defroster and a Pioneer CD and cassette system (the latter is also newly available on the XL and XLT). Harley-Davidson models have the option of getting a two-tone black-and-silver paint. Finally, a new LATCH system helps you tie down the kiddie seats properly.
- Wide range of configurations and features, capable powertrains and suspension, attractive styling inside and out.
- Poor IIHS crash test result, everybody and his brother has one.

Im a Believer - 2003 Ford F-150
By Tanker-one - June 27 - 2:00 amGood day, I did volumes of research prior to purchasing my F-150. I opted for overall performance and Im not dissapointed!! This vehicle handles great, cuts the wind well on the Interstate(although long distance trips are not going to be a common occurance) and feels rock solid over uneven terrain. I love it. This truck gives the sensation of being above the landscape without feeling like a Kneworth.

Great Truck - Zero Problems - 2003 Ford F-150
By Big D - April 12 - 1:33 pmBought this truck new for my son for school and work. He has over 140,000 miles on it now and not a single trip to the Service Dept except to change the fluids. Has exceeded all expectations. When they say Built Ford Tough, its true!

EXCELENT - 2003 Ford F-150
By jjj jjj - March 22 - 10:00 amThis has gotta be the tightest truck I have ever driven. Its 380 H.P., 5.4L V-8 may seem like too much for this regular cab truck but its a blast to drive around in. I have a buddy that owns a full mile drag trackand with a few mods, Ive hit over 160 MPH.

I love this truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By Josh Price - February 20 - 10:00 amAlthough the title is different then what I actually own, I own a 1997 and just to put my two cents in, this truck is now 5 years old. There are no words to describe this truck. Everything about it I love! Its equipped with a 5.4L so I have no problem towing trailers and such. The only problem I have is that the Off-Road Package seats are stiff, but then again its an Off- Road Style. You get what you pay for and what I paid for was well worth the time and money!

What a Wonderful Truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By RedWingFan - October 25 - 9:16 pmI love this truck! It is by far the best truck I have ever owned. I have driven and hauled trailers across the country from Miss. to Montana and back to Mich. and this truck has no problem at all. I have the 4.6 engine and I have 70,000 miles on it and it runs just as good as the day I bought it. I change the oil every 3-4k and I still get 20mpg on the highway. I couldnt ask for a better truck. I will drive this truck until the doors fall off or a million miles, whichever comes first...My son wants the truck but only after Im dead and gone. I only drive Ford trucks. No other truck compares in my book. I have had four other Ford trucks in my days but this is the best. Period.

So far, so good. - 2003 Ford F-150
By C9 - October 20 - 10:00 amWife loves it and in fact it was her choice of vehicle over a 4 door car. I like the good road manners and the good performance as well as handling. Keeping in mind that its a truck, but it does handle well. Remains to be seen how its going to work out for towing a 3600# trailer, but hauling the - car - trailer empty (1200#) it seems like its not even there. It has the 5.4 engine. One improvement I would like to see, assuming there is room would be a well in the rear floorboards that would be an on-board permanent toolbox. All in all though, were very pleased with the truck. Especially wifey. Shes finding it difficult to share....

Love my truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By level65 - September 27 - 10:00 amThe 03Ford Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary edition F-150 is one bad truck...period!! The supercharger screams Im not just another F-150 and the only truck badder is my big brother the "Lightning". The truck turns heads from the ages of 5 to 100. Not only does it look good but it can work if the need arises. I installed a hitch and occasionally pull a 14 trailer with no problem.I was actually shopping for a lightning but saw the Harley model and forgot all about the Lightning. If you want a BAD truck with power, looks and room all in one package buy the Harley-Davidson F-150.

If it wasnt for the rust - 2003 Ford F-150
By Greg - August 25 - 5:05 pmGreat truck. Hauled great. K&N Air Intake, custome cat-back dual exhaust added. Gas miliage...well its a truck so what do you expect! If it wasnt for gas prices, I would still have it. The bottom of the doors are starting sto show rust. Concerns me. Sold it just recently for a silly low amount. Bought a Mazda6. I will own a truck again, and it will be a Ford.
