Overview & Reviews
Arriving in 2003 for the XLT supercab styleside configuration is the Heritage Edition, which includes 17-inch wheels, a chrome cab step and various stylistic flairs such as a black bedliner, a lower valance, paint striping and a paint scheme with a raised cut-line. Also new is an STX edition for the XL- and XLT-trimmed regular and supercabs that includes an MP3 player combined with a monochromatic color scheme and clear lights, among others. Upgrades for the fancy King Ranch flavor consist of fake wood for the interior, lighted step bars and an in-dash six-disc CD changer. For the Lariat, expect a standard rear window defroster and a Pioneer CD and cassette system (the latter is also newly available on the XL and XLT). Harley-Davidson models have the option of getting a two-tone black-and-silver paint. Finally, a new LATCH system helps you tie down the kiddie seats properly.
- Wide range of configurations and features, capable powertrains and suspension, attractive styling inside and out.
- Poor IIHS crash test result, everybody and his brother has one.

Glad I bought one - 2003 Ford F-150
By Badpony - February 7 - 10:00 amI purchased the truck in April and I love it. I have had one minor problem with the cab step light on one side but the dealer fixed it right away. The truck rides great and the quality has been excellent, my only complaint is that the truck feels a little under powered but the pros are far greater. I get positive comments about the look of the truck all the time. Good job BLUE OVAL!!!

Heritage Edition 2003 - 2003 Ford F-150
By jlwebb - November 24 - 2:00 amA Beauty of a truck. Gets stares from people that drive a $60,000 car. Roomy Up front, but not for grown ups in the back. Kids will be fine though.

My Red Truck - 2003 Ford F-150
By Rob LaBeau - September 26 - 10:00 amI bought my truck to replace my Expedition. The truck has great interior room that seats six comfortably. Best move I ever made trading a suv for a truck.

Best Vehicle I have ever owned - 2003 Ford F-150
By Kent - September 9 - 11:24 amBought this truck brand new and I will never own a car again. I love the seats and it rides like a Caddy or something on that level. Great for towing and for hauling. I get compliments about this truck all the time even from non-truck fans. Gas mileage is ok but if you are worried about that dont buy a truck. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone!

Built Ford Tough - 2003 Ford F-150
By bmwm517 - August 19 - 4:55 pmThis is the second F-150 I have owned, and I would own nothing else. This truck is extremely stylish, reliable, fast, and very gas efficient for its size. I bought the last year of the "old" body style because I think Ford should have kept their styling the same into 2004 and on. I have added a K&N cold air induction system and I would recommend this to any owners, as it significantly adds torque and horsepower, along with gas mileage. I would also suggest adding dual exhaust as it adds a "head turning" sound and also adds horsepower and torque.

Luxury Truck....SWEET - 2003 Ford F-150
By J - August 2 - 11:04 pmI have owned several small trucks and planned on buying a new Ford due to the great employee discounts. While looking, I found this 2003 F150 super crew Lariat FX4 with 31,000 miles. The options it had were amazing (power moonroof, heated seat, etc.). I felt like I was driving a luxury car. They wanted a lot of money but I did it and it is still early, but I LOVE THIS TRUCK! Its powerful, smooth, comfortable and SHARP. I hope I still feel this way in the years to come. AWESOME TRUCK (even though the dealer stuck it to me).

Outstanding - 2003 Ford F-150
By John Larson - July 27 - 5:56 pmThe pickup is solid. Every time I hit a chuck hole I wait for a rattle or vibration. There are none. I get precisely 20 mpg on the road. Thats good. The seating positions me on top of the road. Almost like driving a cab-over. It has never been back to the shop in 20,500 miles for even a minor adjustment. It is the best pickup I have ever own. Previously I drove Chevrolet and GMC. They are no comparison. I had too many glitches with them. None with Ford.
