  • 3rd Neon for me! - 2003 Dodge Neon

Bought my wife a 1998 neon with all the goodies, 5-sp, DOHC, moonroof, etc, and shes loved it. Couldnt talk her into trading for a Honda with a 6 cyclinder. Then it was totaled. Were now buying an 03 R/T with ALL the goodies for $14,500 drive-out, and shes excited. Leather, moonroof, etc. I put Bridgestone BT70S on her old Neon and it cornerd like it was on rails! Cant wait to slap Potenzas on this new car. Only problem I ever had with the 98 was the infamous headgasket, but it was fixed under warranty. Love to drive this car!

we purchased this car based on the fact that it was affordable, and with a four cylinder it would be good on gas. since we purchased it we have been very pleased with the realibility of the car.

I am in love with sport compact cars having had a number of them over the years. I havent had this much fun since I had my 1995 VW GTI VR6. This car is fun, period. It has great power and handling and the build quality youd expect from a much more expensive car. The exterior styling has a love it or hate it quality however. It looks fine to me.

A great overall car! I got mine at a great price because a friend works for Chrysler. Looks great, runs great, feels awesome! I get about 250 miles per tank, which is mostly city miles. Ive had it since Sept. 2003, and so no problems whatsoever! The only thing I would EVER change is a bigger engine, but then it would kill the fuel economy, and bump up the already cheap price-tag.

Its a great car, plenty of pep even with the 4-speed auto and for around $15K driveout you cant beat the room in the car for the money. Im 64" and have no problems sitting in any seat in the car.

Flew to Florida to purchase. Drive home conviced me I got what I wanted. Fast, agile and just plain fun to drive. Pulled steady 24mpg cruising back to Wisconsin from Florida. Get thirsty when the boost comes on. Minor drive train noise, but acceptable considering the perfomance.

The car is a blast to own and drive. Lots of looks and fun to play with. I sell EVOs and I would rather have the SRT-4 even if the EVO was $21,000.

The seats are uncomfortable. My lower back begins to hurt after driving it for more than an hour at a time.

I have had my Neons Transmission fall completely out three times in the last three weeks. It locked completely up and put my family and myself in great danger. I have only had lies and grief from not only Daytona Beach Dodge in the repair of this car and from Diamond Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, MI as well. This car is advertised with a 7 year/70000 mile warranty on the power train. BE VERY AWARE!!!!!Chrysler Corporation told me that it is subject to change (daily). You may be driving one right now with no warranty. Shame on you Daytona Dodge and Chrysler Corporation, shame on you....
