This car is more than you can want. I was very impressed with the remake of this model in the 2004 year. The ride is very comfortable and the interior is very user friendly. Im glad I bought this car.

  • So far - so good - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

Other than the lack of power with the 4 cyl., I am very happy with this Chevy. Exceedingly comfortable to drive and handles very well and smooth on the open road. Smooth ride, steering is a dream, minor problems with door hinges, as stated so far - so good.

  • Fabulous! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

I researched this car for what seemed like years and my homework paid off. We love our Malibu, Stella. She is fun to drive, she turns heads, she is fast and easy to steer. I would recommend doing your shopping online and getting financing somewhere else. It saves so much hassle, even though you have to say no a million times to the sales guy and the closer. You can get a much better deal this way though and its fun to watch them squirm.

  • Losing the Battle against Europe - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
    By -

This car was marketed to me as a European design with European type quality. After owning several German cars and being quite satified, I was a bit hesitant buying a Chevy. However, I got a GM discount & solid rebates which sweetened the deal considerably. I pulled the trigger on the Malibu and now have buyers remorse. I should have went with my gut. The car is subpar when compared to its foreign peers. Average quality at best. Ive had the car in 3 times for brake problems. The dealer finally replaced all four assemblies. Bottom Line: the car is ok if you get a discounted deal.

it is roomy and very affordable family car. It is better than Camry or Accord. It also gives more fuel economy than what it says it gives. Very good looking too.

  • Good Value (with Employee Discount) - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

We went with the LS - 6 Cylinder, a much quieter engine, with good HP, and gets 32 MPG Highway. Body style is nice, reminds me of a Cadillac CTS. Its built on the Saab Epsilon chassis. Ride is kind of on the hard side, but still good. With the trade in, employee discount, and throwing GM Points at it, it came to $15,400 for the LS with the 1SB option. Its what its worth!

Ive had my new car only 3 weeks and have drivne it about 1,000 miles. Gas mileage is not what I expected, but I think the reason is Ive only driven in the city. Maybe itll change for the better on the highway. From driving a mini-van for many years, this mid-size is not bad. I can get in and out from tight spaces, and it maneuvers very well. Side view mirrors are not easy to adjust (for me). You cant see cars as they get close to pass you. Had a close call.

  • One problem - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
    By -

I like the car but the power steering was a great problem. The steering wheel would move on its own (pulsating) and locked up on two occasions. The entire steering column had to be replaced. I was very disappointed in getting the car fixed. parts were not available and it took 10 days to get the car out of the service department. Pretty good car -- terrible service makes for an unhappy owner.

  • MAXX - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
    By -

I drive the malibu MAXX LT, a well constructed and appointed car..lots of room, mileage is good ( better than my Honda), and the power is more than adequate...the car is one of GMs gems and should set the standard for midsize sedans with a hatchback all at a cost far below the Japanese cars.
