The side curtain airbag option now includes front-seat side-impact airbags.

America is coming back - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By mike - October 24 - 12:50 amAfter being shut out in the cold for over 3 solid decades, the American auto industry is taking an about face with customer satisfaction and all out quality. Not a bad word to say about the Malibu, smooth ride, great start up, superb gas mileage and handling. Hope that things come around more so in the future and will be looking forward to support our American economy again!!

Our New Malibu! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By larry tobias - August 21 - 11:50 amWe leased our Malibu on June 5th, 2005 (Its our fourth Malibu lease in a row, dating back to 1997). We like this years design best of all. My only regret is that we did not get it with the sport package. It runs and handles very well, with plenty of room for rear passengers, and room in the trunk. We are getting about 21mpg. around town, and about 30 mpg. on the highway.

Great Midsize Sedan - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By sdelz - August 17 - 6:16 amI bought this car for safety and fuel economy reasons but its a whole lot more than that. Its a fun car to drive! Its got great acceleration when you need it and if you dont have a heavy foot you can see 30miles/gallon combined and 40miles/gallon highway. The electric power assist steering is wonderful. However, we just received a "voluntary customer satisfaction" notice in the mail that they have had some problems with a sensor in the steering wheel and on some units they have to replace the steering wheel. This is a warranty item and they will test and replace through 1/31/06 if needed. Great handling and ride with the Saab Chassis. Overall a great car

just bought - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By Tauja - May 11 - 1:16 pmWell I have only had this vehicle going on a month now, but so far it is okay. The 05 model appealed to me because it was stylish and spacious at the same time. I really like the chrome details, especially on the black and red. My family and I are tall, so for us to fit comfortably is important. The only thing is, without looking at the logo this car can be mistaken for many others out there. Also by purchasing a 4cyl, I saved money, but was surprised by the amount of power the car still has for it only to be a 4cyl. The gas mileage is great.

Loving It - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By SDauper - April 18 - 1:20 amThis is definitely the car for me. I am getting 33.9 mpg on the highway and 27.8 in the city. The new electronic power steering is great, no dead space when wheel is at center. I live in Southern Wisconsin and this car tracks great in the snow and ice. Select shift transmission makes slippery take offs a snap. Traction control works very well. Factory installed keyless remote start sure makes window scraping a breeze. Not to mention heated seats in cloth. Dont have to have leather if you dont want it. The shift into passing gear is extremely smooth, dont get a big head jerk as the car gears down. Plenty of passing power on the interstates. I highly recommend this car to anyone.
