Pros:

Test drove the Malibu several times and came away more impressed each time. Solid ride with absolutely no rattles or sqeeks. Impressive list of extras. More pick-up than the Mazda Millinia it replaced with great millage, 23/32. Very good handler with room inside. Only complaint is the headrest is tilted slightly more forward than I was used too. Got used to it very quickly.

  • Best Malibu Yet - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

Leased a 1999,then a 2001 and now a 2004 and find this to be the best. I think this one is the best of all, it seems to ride smoother and the the mpg averages 22+ under a variety of conditions. Engine response is tremendous. Has plenty of standard features that are usefull. Upgraded to the 6 cd radio and it is great. I have one rattle and have isolated it to the front passenger seat and will get rid of it.

  • 04 Malibu broke GMs mold! - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
    By -

General Motors broke the mold when they built the completely redesigned Chevy Malibu for 04. The new Malibus sporty and aerodynamic with a fresh look and classy feel. Its got an aggressive accelerator that unleashes the excitement of a 3.5 liter V6 with 200 horses but gets a shocking 350 mls to a tank on city streets and 400+ on th highway. The on-board information center is reassuring and the standard features make this car almost perfect.

  • Good Value for the Cost - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

We (my wife and I) looked at about 15 different vehicles before deciding on the 2004 Malibu. The main reasons that we chose the Malibu over the Accord or the Camry was cost and the self starter, plus the XM radio was a nice addition. We have owned the car for 2 months and so far we are very happy with our purchase - meaning that the car has handled well in the ice and snow that Columbus has been having this year. We are looking forward to the warmer weather and being able to use the sun roof! Also, kudos and applause for building a window washer container that holds the whole bottle, no leftovers with the Malibu!!!!

  • The New Chevy is Here!!! - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

The new Malibu has great handling, style and comfort features. I love the auto start and heated seats. The car I purchase did have a problem with the side view electric mirrors, but the dealership took care of it without difficulty.

I have the 3.5L V-6. I have to tell everyone something. I have never owned a car that would get 39.9 mpg on the highway at 65 mph before. I do now! As incredible as it may seem, thats what I get on a long trip with the cruise control on. With the 200hp v-6 its very fun to drive! Its been a long time since Ive been in a car of this quality, at this price! Its exciting!

This car really suprised me, with its comfortable seats, and option laden LT version. What more can you ask for for $21k. Once you drive it, you will love it!

  • We love our Malibu - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

Buying the Malibu was a complete accident. It was dark on the car lot and we werent looking for a Chevrolet. The interior and exterior styling and the roomy interior blew us away. We have put 30,000 miles on the car in two years, long distance and local miles. It has a peppy 6 cyl. engine. Visibility for highway driving is wonderful. We get 38 mpg on highway driving - almost 500 miles to a tank. (no lie) I can drive it from southern Ohio to Buffalo before filling up. It camps: Rear seat folds down and makes enough room to take 2 people, the dog and all the camping gear for several days comfortably. There was a steering column issue- replaced free no more troubles.

  • Sometimes, surprises are good things. - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu

I was in the market for a mid-size sedan last summer, as my previous car had become unbearable uncomfortable - Im 61, and I used to drive a Corolla. Now, my Malibu is nowhere near as good on city MPG (19 as opposed to 26), but it also has an engine twice the size and weighs 600lbs more. The highway is a different matter, though I average 31MPG when I cruise at 70-75MPH in my Malibu. That is phenomenal for a big V6...my old Corolla got 37, but was pushed around by the wind. The power around town is good, though. Id recommend it in a heartbeat for a students first car, or anyone who wants some comfort.
